"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

I still think you guys are much more likely to get shot and killed by your own guns than by some Hud down the road.

You may well be well trained or not, the truth is statistically if you've got a gun you're way more likely to be killed by one, either buy a drunken spouse or you lose it one day.

OK you may 'feel' safer, but that's like wearing a seat belt and driving through a red
I read somewhere that you are like 1,000,000 times more likely to be killed by your doctor than by a gun owner.

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

Guess what category of "gun owners" this statistic applies to:

1) Legal gun owners who've passed the checks
2) Drug dealers and criminals
3) The military guys

IMO the statistic was derived from all 3 groups.

"Why Women Dump the Guys Who Try the Hardest"

You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.

And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.

Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.

The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.

I used to live in a city centre that was a bit rough. As soon as I could, I moved.

Of course it did mean working hard and making a few sacrifices, but I felt my family was worth the effort.

Google "Kellerman myth" or "Kellerman debunked" so you can learn what a crock of crap the above statement is.

Also, A .45 is useless if you're not accurate with it.

Basically anything is useless if you're not accurate with it.

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

Hm....this thread really reminds me of how I need to move out of Illinois.

We're an anti-gun state, so people can't carry guns in public. I've even heard that in Cook county if someone shoots a burglar who's robbing their house, the homeowner will go to jail. It's B.S. At least in my county you can do that (I think).

I'm a liberal, but unlike most liberals I'm staunchly pro-gun.

If anyone knows any info about pushing for gun law reform (in favor of guns) in Illinois, please let me know.

The problem with a .45 is that ammo is much more expensive, so it will be more costly to practice and become proficient with the firearm.

There are too many people out there who want the "stopping power" from a large caliber handgun, yet they don't put the time and effort into becoming proficient with it.

And some of that is due to the higher cost of large caliber handgun ammuntion.

Unless one is willing to visit the pistol range at least once a month and put at least 100 rounds thru their pistol, they shouldn't even bother.

And more is better.

I feel very confident with my M1911A1 .45 auto pistol, it does take lots of practice, I have fired over 7,000 rds out of my .45's

I hear in Kentucky, the robber is responsible for everything that happens when he breaks into a house. So if some woman had a heart attack upstairs while having sex during the robbery, the thief can be sentenced for manslaughter.

"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

You guys practice at shooting ranges? Geez, I just practice on people. Spot a hitchhiker, stop the car a few hundred metres, take aim, then bang!

but a pistols effective range is only about 50 meters or less

Why not .22 for practice?

Single shots...
Many targets, one buller per target...

Pretty much everything except burst/double tap can be done with a 22.

To loosely quote Chris Rock: They could make bullets cost $50,000 apiece. "I'm gonna shoot your ass...When I can afford it."

I'm from the Midwest, so growing up around firearms was fairly common. Given, though, that they were mostly rifles and it involved hunting little woodland creatures. My dad bought an AR-15, which is basically similar to a military issued M-16, minus the full-auto capability (though modifications could be made). That thing puts foot to ass.

I guess my only experience with pistolas was the magnum .45 he sold a few years ago. Only used it for shooting bottles/cans and whatnot, but it didn't take long to aquire a decent accuracy with the thing. I guess I don't know much about the price of bullets for it, however, as I had a friend with a dad who basically "made" his own bullets and hooked us up with a good price. But, as Ice said, it would make more sense to practice with a lower cost kind of ammunition, though I'd imagine there might be a noticable difference when one finally decided to break out the big guns.

I don't use pistols...

In Australia people-hunting is quite common. Guys riding around on kangaroos, armed with a rifle, sniping at people. Its a wild wild place.
