Hey guys,

Which is your favourite Samba band or CD?

I love this type of music, however am running out of songs to listen too.

Any of you can recommand any good Samba music?

Cheers

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

This is an excellent site created and managed by some teenager from Brazil (if I remember correctly). There are probably 500-1000 albums, many of them otherwise unavailable. I believe you can download for free, but I paid ten bucks for either a month or year-long subscription to some download expediting program, and I probably have about 100 of the albums.

Otherwise, if you don't want to deal with that and don't mind paying money, check out

Stan Getz/Charlie Byrd - Jazz Samba
Stan Getz/Joao Gilberto - Getz/Gilberto
Antonio Carlos Jobim - Wave, Tide, The Composer of Desafinado Plays, Jobim (separate albums)
Bud Shank/Laurindo Almeida - Brazilliance, Vols 1-2, both of which are available from the site I reference.

Happy listening
