F'n Annoyed with timing out.

Ok, is there an option somewhere to extend my logged in time? Its so annoying everytime i go to type a reply more than 2 paragrahs long that i will have to sign in again at the end of the post before i can submit.

Whats more annoying is some **** i have to go through to get back to my post, in which if i don't copy the whole i lot i can potentially lose and on so many occassions i'm givin some gay option where i haven't specified the forum i wish to post in and my only option is to press "back" to "sign in again" and get no where or "contact the webmaster".

I will prolly have to go through that whole process again now cos i've been typing for just over 3 mins!

Am i the only person with this problem? And the same thing often happens if i'm scanning the forums.. i want to reply to something, but i've timed out and no longer logged in.

Help plz. and if there isn't an option to extend logged in time- than can someone do something about it plz thanks.

Why not type it into NOTEPAD first and then copy and paste it into your message?

Eternal- Yes my browser supports cookies.

Diablo- I usually log on to SS through 2 different computers and suffer identical symptoms both computers are very unalike. One is a p4, 2.8ghz, 1g RAM etc.. pretty much top of the line 2 months ago. In contrast my other comp is a 350mhz, 92ish MB ram. Both run winxp and the latest version of IE.

Francisco- I haven't used notepad but i have taken to MSword a number of times. Still, i'd rather not have to use an additional program etc. And it still doesn't overcome my timing out issue. Do you suffer this problem too francisco? Or just thinking of solutions?

Eteranl & Diablo- given your responses i'm assuming this is a problem at my end and not SS. Is this so? There is no option to length "logged in time" or this isn't just a restraint of the current abilities of the forum.

I had in the past but it was when I was writing a pretty long diatribe. Now when I'm on a rant that isn't completely formulated, I edit it in another program before posting.

Could it be a common program on both computers that is related to Internet security?

At the top click: User CP - Edit Options

Select "yes" for the cookie options (2 & 3). Should solve your problem.
