Here's a good way to handle a girl who has flaked on you once before, and is now flaking again, (lunch date). Take note, this is a girl that 'has' shown interest (flirting, eye contact, kino, etc). She just wants to play the 'game'.

You: I'll be by and 12:00
Her: You are too cute….the time will come. But not today.
You: Sorry, can’t do that. I only give out a certain number of opportunities, and you’ve used yours up
Her: *Snap* I will remember that. Don’t come beggin later.
You: I'm the wrong guy if you think I’ll come begging. *kisses your forehead*
I’ll see you around.
Her: *kisses your lips* I will see ya.

Notice how she moved the kissing (virtual kiss of course) to the lips and the emphasis on 'will'? Nice.

Short responses, put her in place, end the chat. Works every time...

horrible advice. The best way to deal with a flake is to never bring up the fact that she flaked. If u get angry or comeback w/ something, it shows instant desperation.

Another tactic I read somewhere on this site is to make her think that YOU flaked on HER, i.e. the next time you speak with her say something like "Sorry I couldn't make it the other day, there was a little emergency I had to take care of, and in the midst of the craziness I forgot to call you to let you know. I still feel bad, though, so I'd like to make it up to you this weekend." Be sure to have some fake emergency in mind in case she asks what happened.

I agree.

But I also agree with the original poster, in a way. I mean, if he wants to be playing ta-da games with her, be my guest. I didn't get the original tip, mind you.

I'd personally send her to stick her fingers down under, and look for women that are more interested (if the chick in question is interested at all).

Never bring it up? Interesting view point Wiesman, unfortunately I have to disagree. See, if a girl flakes, she has to know right away, that it is acceptable behavior. Now, how you communicate this message will determine if you are desperate or not.

I have never ignored any type of flaky or b*tchy behavior; and I must say, it's worked wonders for me each and every time. But, I appreciate the 2 cents anyway.

That's all I was doing, playing the game, doing the 'playful banter' thing. i'll explain myself better next time.

Depends on the type of flake, first date or first meeting you set up and she flakes on you make no mention of it and try to set something up later in the week/month (you have a life remember). Always flaking on hanging out with you, 3 strikes and she's out ditch the bit(h and walk away.

Interesting. My question is, HOW did she flake, what was the circumstance?
Did she cancel at the last minute, or totally stand you up, etc.?

The best method i use to deal with a flake is to ignore her advances, tell her you'll be busy (etc), and will let her know when you're free. e.g. she flaked on you 2x when you both agreed to plans, and she tries to make plans again..that's when you tell her 'no'.

After all that, If a girl's IL is high enough, she will make an attempt to make plans /meet up again.

I would give it another shot (after some time has passed). Things come up, circumstances change (or maybe her IL isn't high enough yet), so you can't fly off the handle and assume she's flaking. If she flakes again, then forget it and move on.

ScrewIt has a good point, if her IL is high enough, she'll make it easy on you. If it's low to moderate, she may be using you for an ego boost.

"don't flake on me again or I'll kill your dog."

That usually does the trick

If a girl flakes on you on the first date, then she's most likely not interested and you shouldn't bother. Pretty simple.
