"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

A woman I know keeps telling me about her workouts unprompted, and says things like, “Either (whatever) is either a really good work out or I'm out o shape...and I don't think I'm out of shape."

It's happened more than once in under a week without it really being necessary conversation and she knows/can tell I lift weights.

It's not a great ioi, but my question is what is the best way to respond when women fish for compliments?

“The 22 Rules That Flip the Script With Women… And How You Can Use Them Tonight”

Most guys accidentally kill attraction before they even speak. They assume they need a bigger bank account, a better physique, or smoother lines. They miss the point.

Female desire operates on a specific set of psychological triggers.  Break them, and you're invisible. Follow them, and you become magnetic.

I learned this the hard way. Years of freezing up. Getting friend-zoned. Watching other guys walk away with the girl I wanted. Then I discovered a set of 22 simple rules that rewired my entire approach.

She's trying to be social with you, and would love to date you. It's her 'hey dude notice me, I'm a woman, I'm next to you, and I want you to notice me'

But if you keep unsocial with her, she'll eventually stop talking to you like that, and it will be just hi and bye.

Yeah, not sure I want to get involved with a married woman, but it's hard to tell what she wants to happen. The first time she saw me she looked down at my crotch and smiled lol.

But this is more of a general question. When women do this that you are into, do you compliment, playfully bus them for fishing...etc.

What would you do if your guy friend asked you "hey man, keep working these abs, do you think there is progress?"

I'd say, yea dude, cut down your body fat, abs will show. If you keep working them your belly will look bigger, better run and loose fat.

Be honest, if you can suggest something. That good you will treat her with, will come around to you, she will rep you with girls. She's a woman, and all women like to socialize with popular people. You're popular!

She's not fishing for compliments, your view of reality is definitely wrong.

Good posts here.

I always try to be social (within reason) with whoever happens to be around me -- not so much with total strangers in random places, but more in an environment like the OP mentioned (work). It doesn't matter if the person is a 20 year-old single hottie or a married sixty year-old man. The more experience you gain with you social/speaking skills can only be helpful when you do see a woman where there may be a romantic interest.

You can easily decide how far to take things when communicating with someone. I say be friendly, and if she goes a little too far for you, just put the brakes on. There could be some EXCELLENT practice here.

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

Thanks! Great post. And as the person before you metnioned maybe "fishing for compliments" wasn't the best way to describe it, put she certainly seems to be trying to show her value. It just threw me off because most married women only talk about banal things, and she seemed to be more trying to show me her value.

Thanks guys, keep it up if anyone has more to add!
