"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

Hello, I am new to these forums and was seeking some advice.

I went out with an older chick yesterday(wed.) and had a lunch meetup. The lunch went fantastic, and all is well. I told her I wanted to take her on a real date, and told her I would pick her up on sat. I got her number and I told her i would call her the night before to get details on where I pick her up(i keep my phone convos short)

A few hours later she emails me back and says that something she had to do saturday night with her family and she wants a "raincheck" and then thanked me for the lunch.

First - flagged for me , a legit excuse to postpone a date - so my approach is that I am going to ignore it and see what happens , was thinking of responding something like "So what are you going to do to make it up to me? :) " but not until tomorrow night.

Then it gets weird for me, she emails me this morning with a clip of one of her favorite shows on youtube (that we talked about on lunch).

Should i ignore both emails? Respond to the youtube clip? any advice would be cool. I dig this chick but I'm not desperate.

Thanks

"You Can't Argue a Woman Into Liking You"

You made your case like a lawyer. Stable job. Good guy. Ready for something real. All true. All irrelevant.

She weighed your points, nodded along, felt nothing — then fell hard for some tattooed bartender with a motorcycle and a gambling problem.

Logic is where attraction goes to die. The "22 Rules" work a level deeper, on the subconscious switches that decide within minutes whether you register as a MAN or as part of the furniture.

Stop presenting evidence. Start flipping switches.

She does not have my number funny enough

I got her number but I didn't give her mine (prolly just a dumb thing on my part) but it's w/e at this point

Also - the only reason I am posting is because I've been out of the game for a bit - I'll kick it back soon , but I've read some pretty good stuff on these forums before but never posted

I think you are overthinking things.
Its pretty obviously to me this is the only plate you have?

Go out and get more plates.

Respond back to her "ok cool, let me know when your free".

If she suggests a time and date shes interested.

IF shes not interested who cares, keep spinning plates.

You're calling the emails weird because she sent you a funny video clip? I'm not understanding. I don't communicate over email to women though. If you have her number, use it

"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

Agreed. Don't respond to her by email but rather call her. You can then ask her "So what are you going to do to make it up to me?" and later on you can talk about the video clips, if you do watch them (it's up to you).

Yeah everything sounds cool, just relax, don't over analyse. And try to communicate verbally more.

In the future, don't use the word "date" in front of a female.

"I want to take you on a date." or

"I want to take you on a real date."

This puts too much pressure on her. It says this guy really likes me and wants to spend money on me and maybe wants something serious.

Keep it casual.

"Let's get together" or

"Let's hang out" or

"Let's get something to eat"

This way she doesn't feel obligated. If you use the word "date" she will feel guilty accepting unless her interest level is super high.

I've been on maybe 60 dates, but I never referred to them as dates. She knows what they are.

I do the same thing. Women are - by nature - indecisive. The word "date" makes it feel like they have to make an immediate decision about your role in their life, etc, etc. Just easier to play it casual, and let the "get-together" define itself.

Also, to the original poster.....It was only 1 date rejection (rescheduling). I don't think anyone can give you an honest evaluation until you try at least one more time. She rejects you twice, and you'll know where you stand.

"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

Nothing wrong with any of this, comment on the clip, send her something and give her a couple different nights for you to grab a bite. If she wasn't at all into it she wouldn't have sent you that clip.

Don't say "make it up to me" - like she owes you something??
