"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

So a lot of the guys here say Kissing on the first date isn't recommended since it would be rushing, whereas the other guys say you should go for the kiss, even if it's the first date, if you feel the vibe or your instinct tells you to do so.

They're both contradicting, but each argument as its own pros and cons.

Which option is the best one to rely on during the first date? Your instinct on when you should kissclose during the first date, or the principles of NOT rushing and maintaining yourself as a challenge and save the kiss for later?

"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

I'll kiss them when I get her number if it feels right... or part way through a date, or when she shows up to the date.

Rushing is meant rushing to sex...

Depends on your intents and purposes for the girl. If it's just a night out and you want some good poon, then you can rush and go for the kiss as soon as possible so you can get intimate fast. Don't expect this girl to call you back. If you are looking for a quality LTR, then I say hold off on the first date. Establish a system of trust and comfort, then move in for the kiss. Not only will it be more rewarding, but it will also reinforce your relationship instead of hurting your future prospects.

well you know those romantic scenes you see in tv?

for example:

"guy and a girl in the rain together"

"guy and a girl holding hands thinking about something thats concerning"

"girl on a guys shoulder"

"girls on a guys shoulder when watching a movie or on a bus or wherever"

"guy and girl hugging for a long time"

this is when its obvious to me to kiss a girl because when you kiss a girl in these situations, then they are HAPPY and they'll WANT to kiss because they think its "romantic/cute".

Otherwise, i just go with my gut... or i play games

ex. You do a favor for her by telling her some info or showing her something and you tell her that she owes you, then later on in the date you say
"oh yeah, you still owe me..."
*point to cheek*

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

Alphathree's fool-proof guide to kissing:

- Look for IOIs

- Isolate (Park, Bedroom, Secluded Location)

- Escalate (Kino, Holding Hands, Spooning)

- Get close enough that you could kiss but don't do it just yet (wait for it... 5 seconds or so...)

- Kiss.

If at any point something seems not right or goes outright foul, then you'll have saved yourself kissing her when she didn't want it.

David D says to play with her hair or something stupid like that... this is more realistic.

The idea is to never 'cold kiss' in most situations... step up the interaction so that she's in a state where kissing seems like the right thing to do.
