"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

I went away for 6 weeks during this summer and my girlfriend stayed home. Halfway through my trip i learned of one of my goodgirlfriends trying to put stuff into my girlfriends head about how she should dump me and h/u with this other dude. My girl was stright up and told me right away, but it continued and we said we loved eachother and trusted and i acted very unthreatend by this new kid who apparntly liked my girl.

I came home and we're still together and the other nite my friend and him tell me that it wasn't true and it was all b.s. which i believed b/c my girl never told me that he liked her, just that the girls were putting it in her head to break up w/ me.

I find out he tried to get her to ditch me, said we werent friends (we KINDA were, not really but he acted like he never spoke to me which is very UNTRUE as we chilled w/ some ladies together before) My girl told me this and I told her what the kid said to me. (he said he'd never do that stuff and it was all good). I told my girl it's all good, it's over, nothing happend, lets just move on...but now im rethinking it

Now i don't know how to go about it

a) kick his ass or just let him know not to ever try and **** with me, my lady, or disrespect me
b) let it go, forget it, move on
c) other...idk

how would you handle it?

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

you already won.

laugh at him, don't give him the time of day, and move on.

By the way, I have to deal with this kind of garbage all the time. My girlfriend gets hit on frequently by her guy friends and even by a couple of my more casual guy friend.

Shit, the guy who I shared a locker with for the entire year tried to kiss her and worked to convince her to hook up with him even after she told him we were dating.

She chose you for a reason, just like my girl chose me over this chump. We're better than them and you shouldn't let it get to you.

By all means, put these kids down in front of your friends and your girlfriend if you want to. The other guy is an ass and deserves to be treated as such.
