"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

How about putting up one of those sticky things encouraging the guys to finish threads that they started.

I've seen some DJ's suggesting this to the others, but it just gets pushed off the page in a couple of days.

The benefits of this would be that you wouldn't have to deal with all those "Rating the DJ's" threads in the Suggestion Forum. If we encourage the guys to finish their threads, then everybody could see for themselves which posters are the most consistent with their advice.

Also, if the newbies can see what actually worked and what didn't, maybe they could learn something from the other guys real life experiences.

The guys need to tell everyone what advice they used and then finish the thread with the results of that particular advice. It might even get the older, more experienced DJ's to participate more if they see that their advice is actually helping the newbies out. That's definitely the main reason I don't participate much. I hate to spend 15 minutes thinking about and then typing out advice for someone and never finding out what the conclusion was. It would be like some kind of ego boost to see that I helped some other guy out with women. I sure wish I had someone help me out when I was younger. ;)

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.
