"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

I've been going to a local gym for awhile at around 6 in the morning since my classes start pretty damn early. The place is almost deserted at this time and I'm sort of wondering... what's the best way to find someone to spot for you? None of my friends want to wake up early in the morning and my schedule is packed in the afternoon. Any suggestions for early risers?

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

At 6am, your lucky if a few people are at the gym, and you would be even luckier if those few people actually would be able to spot you.

I've belonged to a few gyms, and most of the time, at 6am or earlier or even a little later, the gym is relatively empty and quite.

There are those gyms that might have a more crowded atmosphere, but the majority of people do not come to the gym at 6am.

So either hope that you can meet a few people who can spot or hope that the trainer/desk people can help you.

The gym I'm at now, the trainers and desk people are there for one thing, to pick up chics. They spend more time on the treadmill then hitting the weights.

But good luck.
