She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

You took her virginity, what do you expect to happen after? Yall get married? No, she goes through an Attention Wh0re stage. Most girls go through it so this would be expected.
