All my other good looking friends are all taken now so the only guys I can approach with are ugly/old/chubby and trying to carry the conversation by myself with 2 girls is brutal

Interesting. Most of my average and even slightly above average looking friends are usually blown out immediately. Shrug

I don't know who they are but there are a group of 4 or 5 guys who are regulars at this once place I go to, and they've gotten blown out so often they just dance by themselves now. They don't even try anymore. Learned helplessness I suppose. They're not grotesque or anything. Just normal-ish guys in their 20's. Yet women treat them mostly like pariahs.

the bar/club scene is an excruciatingly high difficulty curve

the only guys I see approach women and be successful instantly tend to be very good looking/very tall/buff/etc...

if you're not at least a 7/10, not even worth going out IMO unless you're going to pursue 5/10 women (and who the hell wants that?)

Nonsense. You’re either aiming too high or you suck at conversing. While girls go to clubs typically to dance, Girls go to bars to meet guys. You just gotta be friendly.
