Don Juan
as i began my first semester of college in september, i had no idea what to expect, but i was excited for the new chapter of my life. i loved not knowing what it was going to be like, who i would meet, would i make the tennis team, would i make new friends and so many other things. after watching the fastest 4 months of my life fly by, im left here thinking about what ive learned so far. dated a girl for a couple months, went out on a few other fun dates, i might *crosses fingers* get a 4.0, but at the very least ill get a 3.6+ which is fine with me. despite all the new experiences, parties, breaking policy with women in the fire escape stairs, game room, lounge and countless other stupid pranks, im left with a feeling of helplessness. not for anything really, but more i find myself questioning every aspect of life. religion, relationships (friends and women), career path, family, life, nothing was as definite as it was 4 months ago. ill gradually be elaborating on things as i progress through this journal, but for the most part im completely lost right now. maybe this is somethng everyone goes through at some point, a coming of age or whatever, i dunno. but one of my goals as i finish this school year amidst all the tail chasing i need to find myself again. it might be a while, i have no idea what the next couple years will be like, so all i can do is live every moment as best i can and see what happens.
now back to the main purpose of this journal... ive fallen into a comfort zone and its getting difficult to go outside of it, so thats definetely a goal for 06'. i need to continue branching out and meeting new people, both for dating and friends. ill be working on some specific goals and on my own self-improvement. the bulk of this journal will be devoted to posting on my love life, but as finding a place in life is probably relevent in the life of a real don juan ill throw some other posts in as i go.
now, tomorrow im going to lunch with this cute russian brunette, i have a slight weakspot for foreign women so i couldnt resist. well, technically she asked me, but i made the initiative and took a chance by talking to her. ill post up on how it goes tomorrow.
anyway, goals i will be working on:
-start 5 random conversations a week with strangers, at least 3 female
-get more involved on campus, itl open up doors to meet new people
-get more organized with school and my time, im taking some pretty tough classes so i cant $#@& around like this semester
-stay committed to a couple clubs (only the fun ones)
- smile and say hi whenever i make eye contact with a stranger (within reason)
- continue working out, gain 10 lbs by end of semester
- be more sociable, make more of an effort to stop by n say hi to friends
-learn a little french
-improve massaging skills
-try something new every week
ill be trying to work on a lot of things, so ill add more as i go. for the most part i just want to enjoy myself more, continue my biochemistry route and continue meeting a lot of new people.
so, heres to 2006, my last year as a teenager.
