"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

Hey guys,
I'd like to share some of the experiences I've had the last couple of days:

#1: I was waiting for a train and I walked up to a girl who was waiting there as well. I asked her something about the train schedule (just a pretense) and then I started asking her things like where she lives, studies, etc. It went pretty well. She then sat next to me in the train and we talked till we arrived at out destination. She gave me her address (she lives close to me) so I decided to pay her a visit a couple of days later. She opened the door and I told her I was going for a walk and I asked her to come with me (this shows that I have a life of my own). She said okay 'but had to be back in a couple of minutes, as she planned to visit her boyfriend later that evening'. She hadn't tell me about a bf before, so I was not sure what to do, but as she invited me in, I decided to test my DJing skills on this girl. Actually I had lost all my interest in her by that moment. We talked about some stuff and I said: 'That's the price you gotta pay for having a bf... you're expected to show up at the weirdest moments' and she replied she was joining me for a walk anyway. I was pissed off at first (didn't show it though) but I wanted to test my skills so I talked to her and stuff, asking her about the things she likes and things she did last summer. I wanted her to be the topic of discussion, but she kept asking me questions too, like 'How do you feel about that?' Then I'd answer quickly and ask her another question, so she'd be the topic of discussion again. At the end of our conversation she said she wanted to see my apartment, but I really didn't want her to come in since she has a boyfriend and probably I was going to be LJBFd anyway. I told her I had to go to the movies and said that she could drop by another time.

#2: I rode my bicycle to the town center and some hot Spanish chick asked me directions. I asked her what she was doing here and stuff and then I offered her a lift. Since she didn't really know the concept of a bicycle; she didn't know how to hop on so I told her I'd walk her to town. We continued to talk about school, this town, clubbing, etc. I was being ****y and funny to her - but due her poor knowledge of the English language she didn't understand most of what I was saying (oh I really hate that). Eventually she probably got bored because she said 'we're almost there, you can go now' and then I asked her where she's staying - appears she's living in the same building as me. But as I said, her interest level probably dropped to an absolute zero, so I won't give this one another try.

Hehe yeah, both encounters haven't been really successful, but at least I got to acquire some more experience.

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

Hey, your doing everything right for the most part. Just keep at it and eventually you'll run into a girl who is really interested. You did everything right with the first girl, keep talknig to her and flirt to show her that your interested and not afraid to show it. But dont make any moves. After you've had 2-4 interesting and deep conversations with her ask her to hang out. Like REALLY hang out and not something dumb like a walk, but dont let it be a date. Dont pay for her. If she accepts then I gurantee you that you will be banging her that night, or in the near future.

One thing I would suggesst is increasing your adaptibility to situations. Meaning change your behavior according to the situation. For example, when you realized that the latin girl didnt really understand english well, you should take a simpler approach. Flirt in a simple way, as in compliment her looks in some way to show her your interested. And then jsut get her number.

Thanks for your advice griffon65. I know I should switch to a more agressive attitude when a girl doesn't have a clue what I'm saying... that's exactly what I do when I'm talking to a chick in a club and the music is playing to loud ;)

"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.
