FIELD REPORT: Sydney, Australia

hey DJs,

DonJohn83, Wolfie, ShortyBrown and myself met up this weekend. Saturday night in Darling Harbour is where we started, but definitely not where we finished up.

things were good, having a casual drink in a bar, just getting to know eachother a bit. quite a few tourists around, and probably not the best atmosphere. not sure why, maybe because of the Rugby World Cup.

So after a bit of drive around the city we went into the Eastern Suburbs. this club was good. lots of people, stylish crowd, 3 music rooms, pool tables, chairs, an outside chillout area. tonight this was the place to be!

ill try and sum up how we all went, but hopefully the other guys and the girl that came with us will add more.

so DonJohn83 this guy is a pimp, straight out of GQ magazine, he had little ladies chasing him all night. already in a love triangle, this guy was busy all night.

Wolfie pulled a few good moves, talking to all different girls all night. this guy got some extra special attention on the dance floor too - a handjob i think?

ShortyBrown, ahh man, so whats this girl doing with us, we thought she was maybe lesbian trying to pickup girls too. ended up this fiery little red head was getting her own attention from the guys. so yeah she definitely picked up. she also showed me a real life example of an attention *****.

TTAG, thats me. i was just chillin all night talkin with a few girls, a little dancin, i only got 1 number tho. i was a bit disappointed cause i reckon i could of got another 2 off these 2 different blondes i was chattin with.

lesson1; with one blonde i thought id just ask for the number at the end of the night, thing is she left early, so gotta be a bit more upfront i guess. early bird catches the worm.

lesson2; this other blonde, definitely one of the hottest in the whole club. i would say HB9, Wolfie agreed, i think DonJohn83 did too. i was chattin with her at different times, she was always alone, so i asked why? she says im the only guy to approach her the whole night and this was at the end like 2.30/3am. so lesson here is approach the prettiest cause every other guy is AFC and wont. thing is i stuffed up again. just didnt number close. bloody pissin me off!

anyways, we all had fun. you other Aussie DJs gotta join us!

TTAG, cut the modesty!
This guys got balls so big he pushes a wheelbarrow wherever he goes. Unafraid to approach, quick witted, and a pleasure to sarge with. I lost count of the number of babes he chatted up. Great conversationalist (very important!).

We knew he meant business when only minutes from entering the club, he spotted an HB dancing nearby, and without hesitation or fear just walked up and started chatting. Only reason he didnt score the number was cos he didnt ask for it. Then came the blondes, the brunette and whoever else he set his sights on.

Wolfie, hes got balls too. Relentlessly coming up with good openers to approach with. He knows his shyt. Very knowledgable and unafraid to apply this knowledge to the real world. Mingled well with the ladies and always on his toes. Good conversationalist.

And YES ShortyBrown is all woman. So you can forget the rumors going round on this board. It was good to have a gal with us. Always giving us feedback on how we were doing. She did damn well herself.

So very true, the lessons TTAG listed. It adds a whole new dimension just seeing a fellow DJ apply the very principles we learn here, to the real world. Good work guys.

Yeah pretty good night fellas. DohnJohn is right.. TTAG is full of shvt, he had the biggest balls of all of us all night. I've never seen anyone like him who one minute goes 'oh, I have a problem approaching' and the next minute runs off after a HB9 that strolls past without a word of warning to me
DonJohn I didnt get to see that much during the Club dance floor area (we went to Seals club in Maroubra I believe) but the guy has got the style and height to effectively pull off peacocking anyday. Apparently had girls approaching HIM but they didn't measure up so he blew them off
Shortybrown, what can I say? Went out to have fun and ended up picking up a guy end of the night . Saw her getting quite a bit of attention from other guys in the street too.
Anyways, what happened? Well TTAG and I did approach a 2set on the dance floor who were at a birthday party.. dunno what he said to his one but after he left she started telling me "You're friend's cute!!! You're cute too!!" LOL. Busted on her and her friend for being gay and not dancing with all the hot guys.. so she grabs her friend and kisses her!
Highlight of the night? Getting a photo with fvcking annalise braakensiek. Lowpoint? The guy who takes the photo telling me that he doesn't have the internet and can't send it to me.. and me buying it. Grr. Anyway, great night fellas, will see when I'm next free

John-like I said, I still don't geddit. Where's the problem? you're charming, funny, sweet, really hot......remove yourself from those little "dramas" we were talking about and you'll be even better. Life's too short dude. That club is why God blessed you with your 20's.

TTAG, Wolfie-It's all about the attitude and you guys have got it from what I could see. Practice makes perfect I suppose.
I had not been anywhere for a while, and the club was an eye opening experience from a personal perspective. All you really have to do is tap someone on the shoulder on the floor and you're in!
There was this dude who was tripping out big time just standing on the dancefloor with his eyes rolling back into his head. Scary stuff.
Wolfie-was she nice? I always wanted to know as she struck me as a little stuck on herself.
Anyhoo, my new friend and I are heading out this evening...... Let me know when you guys are thinking of hitting the town again.

Sounds like you guys had a good time. My wing and I will have to join you guys when I get back into Sydney in mid November.

Just curious - how old are you guys? What sort of clubs are you guys into? Are you guys usually hit dance clubs?

My wing and I are more into bars and places where we can talk (mostly because we can't dance ). Places like Establishment, Cargo, Loft, Hemmesphere, Soho etc.

yeah i agree with what they all said, summed up the night pretty well with 4 different views. it was good fun.

just looking for some girls that half interesting tho, i get bored of girls pretty quickly- already cant be bothered calling this one, cause i know she is gonna be boring. but someone to practice DJ skills on? why not.

anyways, it was fun and im keen to get some more action happening in the next few weeks.

Just out of curiosity, were most you mates TRYING even HARDER to sarge chicks because everyone was trying to prove to one another what a DJ they were??

Im just curious, because Dave Deangelo is coming to Chicago for a Seminar, Im not going, phhhhuuuuuck that! $500 to hear his arnold horshack a$$ ramble on about something I already got in the bag?

But anyways, Im sure there are going to be over 300 DJ's going to this seminar , then going sarging at clubs afterwards..and they will attribute their success to Dave D, instead of their own Balls and trying to out-DJ each other

I wasnt out to prove anything, just for experience. It's a relief going out with like minded ppl who aren't like AFC friends who go "WTF ARE YOU DOING" whenever you approach a chick...and are pretty useless as wingmen.. lol.

Nah i dont think anyone was out to PROVE anything.

Hell, i didnt even approach ANY chicks on the night. TTAG couldve closed more girls, so could wolfie. But they were just havin fun.

Its easy to spot when someone tries to out-do you or tries too hard. We were all natural about it so its all good.

Just wondering how you'd feel about someone with less experience and just starting to get into the game (i.e. myself!) coming along to one of your next nights out?

I don't know about the others, but I'm hardly experienced. From the sounds of it you're in the same situation as me ades. Check the wingman forum every now and then coz any future plans for meeting up will probably be posted in there. Hope to see you around!
