field report: success!....so far...

lately i had been fighting some old AFC habits, but i seem to have prevailed...so far anyway. a group of people from my summer class went out to breakfast after out final today and the girl i have my eye on was there too.

things were going good...so gave solid eye contact again, and i tried mirroring for the first time since she was sitting directly across from me, but i need to work on that some more. i almost got CB by the other guy that was there, but it was all good.

after we left the restaurant everyone went their separate ways, but me and this girl walked together towards our cars. (during the meal she said something to the effect of "i dont date guys anymore" but she was just joking around) so as we got close to our cars i told her something like (in a joking manner) "i know you dont date guys anymore, but i'd like to take you out next week" her proximity to me at this point was extremely close i noticed, and she jumped all over my proposal. she initiated a nice embrassful hug (our first real physical contact beyond some slight kino).

so all is good. things are going well. hopefully this doesnt fall through somehow. when do u think i should call? monday? and set something up for like thursday?

"Hopefully this doesn't fall thru" What's up with that negative crap?

Sounds like she has high interest in you if she "jumped" all over your proposal. Today is Friday, so if you call Monday that would be 3 days. I know there are alot of "rules" about when to call but I feel that if the chick is showing signs of high interest it doesn't really matter when you call.

If she's into you then you could call tomorrow or in a week its not going to change a thing.

UPDATE

well, i guess she was not interested in me as i had thought. i try not to usually read too many 'signals' but they seemed to all be there. but, i guess they were only a fabrication in my mind....sucks, really.

i called her monday during the day...no answer. she doesnt have voicemail, but she does have caller ID. so, i called today around noon and no answer once again. it seems obvious that she's dodging me. i will try one more time for her tomorrow...i was thinking of sending a text message since she likes them a lot she once mentioned....

what should i say in the text message?

I would give it up. She probably only takes calls from people she knows. She gave you the number knowing she would never answer.

Assuming she has your number - turn off caller ID and give her a ring towards the evening / night. If still nothing... next. Let her call you.
