Field Report: epic day game fail

I have an office in this little "old town" touristy/historic area. Today I was out getting a bite at a little food stand and as I was waiting for my food I saw this HB7 cleaning the glass on the front of this shop. I wanted to fvck her so I walked over closer and said "man you are making me feel bad, I haven't cleaned my windows in forever". She turned and smiled and a nice little chat ensued.

So getting this far has been easy for me, but I have struggled to get the number close in these situations. Someone on here posted about introducing yourself and then later asking for the number. So I said "hi I am MOTU" and she said "HB7" we shook hands and chatted a bit more....she was pleasant, engaged, smiling... I was ready for the number close and then I realized I had completely forgotten her name. WTF!!! Total brainfart. I panicked a bit, I couldn't figure out how to get her number but not ask her name again. Sh!t!!!

I think I salvaged it because I told her where my office is and to come over saturday afternoon we would be drinking beer and grilling on my deck (there is a festival in old town). She said she would. I'll tee up one of my friends to get her name and get it to me then. If she doesn't come over, I'll walk over there again next week and track her down.

Anyway, note to self: when HB gives you her name PAY ATTENTION. I think I was overthinking my next move and got distracted. I'll get better.

Seriously - if a woman's interest level is high, you can't do much to screw it up. If her interested is NOT high, you can do anything to screw it up.

I would have just played along and asked for her name again as if it wasn't that important and jokingly say you are quite forgetful of names (I can't remember names for sh!t).

If you really wanted her number, you would have got it regardless of any hurdle - even simple as not remembering her name.

I meet around a thousand people a day in my line of work I keep track of all them fckers.

So I hand my phone and say hey put your info in.

That shıt does happen! You think too much ahead and you miss the "now" details. Next time just pull out the phone during the number grab and ask her how she spells her name (or you give her the phone so she does it, like the guys said before me).

MOTU, why are you approaching girls close to your age? You should be targeting 27 - 35 at your age.

Guru, it just seems the younger girls have so much drama. Women my age seem more stable, kids are older, etc. I guess I am willing to give up a little on the HB scale to avoid the bs.

Oh and the woman didn't show up last night but we had a killer party. I didn't invite any plates so I could be on the prowl. I talked to a bunch of hb's but didn't get any numbers - I guess I wasn't really trying.

My main plate ended up being at the festival and actually took a picture of me dancing in the street with some random woman and sent it to me with some jealous type comments (I am hotter than her, you could have had me, good luck in your search, etc). I never even saw her there.

I didn't answer last night and this morning just said "I see someone gets a little jealous when they drink I would have danced with you too, had you asked". She apologized for the drunk texts hahahaha.

Yeah we all stuff up...How many delightful nights have been lost for the want of a notebook and pencil,always carry them...I always buy shirts with pockets for that reason...On age I totally agree with you,these young birds are not always as much fun,but plenty of drama...A 40 ish Woman fit enough to be cleaning windows and experienced in the arts of love can be quite delectable and not too demanding afterwards...
