"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

How many guys on here find that unless a woman believes in the same things you do your relationship is bound to fail ?

Sometimes it is best to keep your trap shut about what you think if you just want a lay out of the girl.

I find that women can't do it with you if they don't like something you said or something you feel strong about.

For a relationship however at some point you'll have to talk to her about what she believes in. The problem I find is that most women can't debate an issue logically or respect you regardless of what you believe in. If you make a bold statement about something that you feel strongly about they will run and it will be a major turn off for them.

For example, I recently saw a dating show where the guy dropped the "J" bomb on the chick (J=Jesus). He even said that as soon as he proclaims what he values the girl usually runs for the hills.

Any sane person wouldn’t do such a dumb thing on the first date, but the point this guy made is valid. At least he isn't wasting his time on this chick. On the other hand I often wonder if a man should even expect a woman to understand and agree with his points of view or spiritual beliefs.

I also find it funny that a lot of women claim to be open minded, but they are actually the complete opposite.

Most women infact only support the ideas and values of popular culture and secularism.

hmm... the way I see it, shallow motives are best accomplished in a shallow relationship, and deeper motives in a deeper relationship.

If you're looking for a quick lay, and nothing more, then there's absolutely no reason to get into your political/religious/philosophical values while talking the girl up. They're 100% unimportant, and only a barrier to the end-goal.

On the other hand, if you're looking for something more long-term, then you'd be an idiot not to compare your values to hers. The point of being a DJ is the power of choice - without knowing how your values align with hers, you can't really make an informed choice. However, the first few dates are for getting to know each other - don't drop the heavy **** till you're comfortable with each other, or yeah, they're going to run.

I agree. I just know of any guy who would just run away from a chick if she talked about her values . In fact most women expect you to listen to what they value very early on.

Continue discussing the topic at hand. All off-topic replies will be deleted without warning. I'm tired of having to come into thread after thread because some people feel like they have to start going off into personal flames and deliberate instigation. Sorry, one thread's okay. Two, a coincidence. Three? Out of the question.
