I am 35 years old, and suddenly feel like it is too late for me to ever become a DJ.

...still so much for me to overcome

4. Muscular but still chubby physique
5. Lack of a proper social group. Have a lot of female friends but many of them tend to undercut me when I am with other women, so can;t use them as social proof.
6. Lack of "exciting" hobbies - No experience in motorbike riding, skydiving or any of those things that women seen to consider "manly"

Any suggestions or tips?

fwiw, I have started training mixed martial arts with my local dojo of cage fighters. My first fight will not be until later in the year, but simply training in a martial art, boxing, or mma can solve all three of those problems. The social group comes from the friends you make while training.

Also fwiw, at my weight, I will likely be fighting some 19 or 20 year old kid. I turn 32 next month. Your age, much like your life, is what you make of it.

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

It is. We have to stop making excuses why we can't take chances and live. I'm just turned 31 and doing everything differently.

The funny thing is when I was younger I said "but I'm too young to do that" now it's "too old to do that" and the common denominator is my attitude.
