Came across this article and though I would share it, the majority of it was just an example of how delusional women in the west have become when it comes to weight these days.

http://www.watoday.com.au/lifestyle/beauty/women-fight-for-fat-acceptance-20090805-e99m.html?page=2

Alyssa Russell went through what she calls the "whole hating my body thing" when she was a teenager. But, these days, the 20-year-old student has shed those negative feelings. She's big, beautiful and proud.

"I've actually prayed for bigger hips," says Russell, who used to be 120 kg but, through healthy living, has found her comfort zone at 98 kg.

"I don't want to lose weight because I don't want to lose my curves."
WTF? 98 kilograms? 220lbs on a woman? She does not want to lose anymore weight because she does not want to lose her curves? What curves? She is a bowling ball. Those are not curves. Its layers of FAT that are HANGING off her. Anyone who is that obese has no respect for themselves or their health.

Unless you have a psychological disorder there is no way you can find that attractive. We have all fvcked our fair share of fatties and uglies I am sure, but I cant imagine stooping to this level.

Despite a war on obesity and a culture obsessed with weight loss, there are many women who love their bigger bodies and don't apologise for them.

Most actually prefer "fat," the term size-acceptance activists first reclaimed during the civil and women's rights movements, says Marilyn Wann, San Francisco author of Fat! So? Reclaiming the word "fat" is about getting rid of shame and moving on with your life, says Oakland's Amanda Piasecki, founder of the community blog, Fatshionista.
Yes, because her views are going to be rational and impartial when she runs a community blog called Fatshionista. So because you are a fatty, telling other fatties to love themselves, you are now an expert on how society must view fatties and are worthy of mention in a newspaper article.

While the self-actualisation is not new, it comes at a moment when researchers are touting weight-neutral, health at every-size programs, and images of big women are more prevalent in mainstream media. For example, Fox has debuted its plus-size dating reality show, More to Love, and recently Drop Dead Diva, about a vapid model who dies and comes back to life in the body of a larger woman, premiered on Lifetime.

Wann says she would rather see more fat characters integrated into regular television programing.
Oh OK. So what we are going to do is try and brainwash people into believing that obesity is now normal. We are going to even try and glorify obesity in some cases by making it part of mainstream media.

**** that fact that it costs governments millions to support these fat bastards and their health problems. Lets encourage it and call it normal instead. The problem is not that people are fat, its that people are disgusted by fatties. They are the problem.

"We all want to be happy, successful, and have cool clothes, dates and feel attractive," Wann says. "It's a false prerequisite that you have to be thin to get those things."
No, unfortunately its not a false prerequisite. The fact that you are a fat fvck means that you look unhealthy. I cannot get my penis to become erect if you disgust me. You dont have to be thin, but you need to look like a normal person.

But that does remind me of this forum. While the fat girls are saying you dont need to be thin to feel attractive and get dates (you dont, men in the west clearly no longer have standards if this is true) we have men saying on this forum that you dont need looks or status.

Maybe this fatty is that quality woman eh boys?

Wann's book was first published 10 years ago after, she says, she was denied health care for weighing 106.59 kg. And it has been almost ten years since she and other fat activists fought for and successfully added weight and height to the anti-discrimination laws of San Francisco.
Um, maybe thats because your life is at risk when you are a whale out of water and they try to operate on you? 106kg? There are people playing pro football that dont weigh that.

Much has changed since then. Fat-friendly resources, including plus-sized clothing retailers and specialised fitness groups, have helped fat women advance, Wann says. Community blogs such as Fatshionista also provide a forum where women can talk about their fat bodies in a way that is safer than normal conversations, says Piasecki, who founded Fatshionista in 2004.

It is this process of self-actualisation that is at the core of Jeanne Courtney's work. The marriage and family therapist runs Love Your Body at Any Size workshops out of her El Cerrito and San Francisco offices. Through nine steps similar to the stages of grief, she helps women let go of internalised fat phobia and self-hatred to accept and love their bodies.
Fat friendly resources? Plus sized clothing retailers? How in the name of fvck is this a changing perception? We still think you are fat and ugly, we just know that there are enough of you to actually market too. There are so many fatties they are now a market segment worth targeting. Fatties have money too.

"When you exude confidence, people are attracted to that," says Courtney, who has worked through her own issues of size acceptance. "We're all neurotic and scared enough about being attractive. But for women who are actually fat, there is a real exhilaration when they find people who are truly attracted to them."
WAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

OK. As a man, you will be attracted to her confidence more than her looks. I know women are attracted to confidence, that is obvious. But assuming that men are going to be attracted to confident women is perhaps a little misguided. They will be attracted to a confident woman who is 36-24-36, but not because she is confident I can promise you. She is just really confident because at 36-24-36, all the fatties in the room just turned her into the hottest piece of ass in the district.

While size acceptance is important, the risks associated with being overweight or obese aren't going anywhere, doctors say. The American Medical Association defines a person of normal weight as having a body mass index between 18 and 25.

"If you're in that range, you are far less likely to suffer from hypertension, coronary artery disease, or diabetes, which are leading killers of people in this country," says Amanda Williams Calhoun, a Richmond gynaecologist and medical director of the Women's Health Research Institute at Kaiser Permanente Northern California.

But, Williams Calhoun adds, BMI is a starting point. When she meets overweight patients, she tries to understand what - genetics, a sedentary lifestyle - led to their weight issues. Then she asks women five questions: Are you exercising four to five days per week? Are you eating a balanced diet? Is your blood sugar normal? Is your cholesterol normal? Are your periods normal?

"If they answer yes to all those questions, then I am really not that concerned about how much they weigh," she says.

The answer to disease reduction and size acceptance may be health at every-size programs, which are based on adopting good habits for the sake of health and well-being rather than weight control. Respecting the natural diversity of body sizes, eating by honouring internal cues, and finding joy in physical activity are all tenets of the movement, says Linda Bacon, nutrition professor at City College of San Francisco and author of Health at Every Size: The Surprising Truth About Your Weight.

"Lots of people feel like they have to lose weight to be happy," Bacon says. "The change comes when people start to value themselves. And the way you're going to start adopting healthy habits is when you think you're important enough."
Guys, stop fvkcing the behemoths and make them go without. Unless you are genuinely attracted, avoid them like the plague. Go on a fatty strike

This bullsh1t that women are not meant to be thin and that a 75kg lard arse is normal needs to go out the window. Go to Eastern Europe. Go to Asia. Even South America, where the women are predisposed to carrying weight. You will not see anywhere near the same level of obesity you do in the west. The women are not hotter, they are just not fat.

There's a fine line between behemoth and "thick." Several of my friends like 'em thick. To me, they look overweight. One man's poison...

I don't know, man, when I go out to a bar or club, the male female ratio is usually at least 3 or 4 guys for every gal. With the general horniness of us men, most will settle for a big girl over nothing.

What are you gonna do?

Even Chris Rock likes big women...

I concur with hooligan harry (though I did not read the actual post, just the title, I don't need others' research to support my own opinion that fat ppl are rampant in society, regrettably well-accepted, and gross) and lex luthor.
