Father's Day

HallMark has a campaign pushing their 'Happy Father's Day Mom' cards on Father's Day. A middle finger to all the father's in their children's lifes or screwed over by the system. It pisses me off how badly the media characterizes men and how wrong this damn campaign is. There aren't any 'Happy Mother's Day Pa' cards, and rightly so cause' that sounds downright ridiculous.

What do you guys think?

Happy Father's Day everybody. I hope you are able to spend it with your children regardless of how the mother and courts may fvck you over.

That said there are A LOT of boys and girls out there growing up with only Mom and maybe Grandmom holding their family together. And not because of courts or lawyers. Even as a single dad I can see the disproportionate amount of women doing it on their own. As someone who's dad was in and out of prison my whole life I've wished a Happy Father's Day to my mom before. It felt right and I know I'm not the only one.

I have been here for 31 years and never celebrated Father's Day because my Father has never played an active role in my life.

It's like "Father's Day" as a holiday is just as foreign to me as Cinco de Mayo.
