I agree with OP except that in most cases, even a woman standing in line, like at Dunkin Donuts, are pre-occupied on their smartphones, making it rude to interrupt.
But aside from that, I constantly ask women if they are wearing a reddish-purple color. I ask them what color do you call your __, do you call it maroon, or burgundy? Then there's also crimson.
