I was out and about doing my chores yesterday and I noticed something.

It appeared to me that the more attractive a woman was, the longer she would hold eye contact. In fact the two prettiest girls I saw held contact by far the longest. In fact, I looked away first lol.

This makes sense I suppose, as more attractive girls are more used to and comfortable with male attention. This goes along with the idea that attractive women tend to be more friendly when approached and more flirtateous in general. Because their interactions with men are mostly positive and validating for them.

I suppose my results could be somewhat skewed though, since the really unattractive girls I would barely glance at.

Eye contact is a funny thing. Some days I go out and no one will look at me. Then some days it seems like everybody looks at me. I don't know what the difference is.

Watch their eyes next time and see where they go when they break off eye contact. Up is disinterest, dislike. sideways is not sure. Down is deference, either because they like you or they are just naturally shy.

I have been having tons of fun holding eye contact with chicks.. I think it is hilarious.
Lol, I have to admit I sometimes like to mess with certain types of women like this, just to self amuse.

I've read things like "the alpha male makes eye contact with everyone he sees". I don't know if that's true or not, but I know a lot of guys have trouble making eye contact with women. But getting used to making eye contact is like one of the first steps in getting over social anxiety.

Eye contact is so very important in my experience.
if you can make eye contact, hold it, get a smile or a raised eyebrow, this gives you permission to pursue as it is a clear sign she is at least partialy attracted to you physically. its a 'come one then', if ever there was one!

if she look down or anywhere and then looks at you again, and holds it, again massive come on, if she breaks it off then looks at you as if your a murderer..take the hint!

I remember the days when I used to immediately look away from any woman who looked at me. Most of my life, actually. It took me a long time to realize this and a long time to fix it. I still catch myself doing it once in a while, but I'm a very private person and sometimes I just don't want to engage. I'm glad that through practice I now have a handle on it.

Hint: Wide-eyed eye contact is usually bad. Scary. Practice squinting a little (kind of a sleepy-eyed effect) with a slight corner-of-the-mouth smile. The smile should convey a half-effort (like, "I'm friendly but I'm evaluating you"). That's the formula that generate attraction for me. I tried the big, douchey smile thing for a while and that is definitely not cool, at least for me.

Why am I talking about smiling in an eye contact thread? Because we do not smile with our mouths. We smile with our eyes. Look around today and observe, and you'll see what I mean. A mouth smile without a congruent eye smile is instantly recognizable as fake.

Eye contact is synonymous with confidence.

Just make sure you don't overdo this, too much becomes synonymous with aggression.

i've done some eye contact experiments, i think at a minimum it takes your relationship with that person one notch above friendly, harmless, casual.. (my favorite is at the airport waiting for your flight to arrive, i had a girl about 6 rows ahead of me get up and
move within a few feet of me after the eye contact)

One good eye lock sets a different tone and ups the anxiety level up just a tad, which is good.

Of course this assumes she finds you somewhat attractive.
