Man I have a HUGE problem, i have tons and tons of body hair. I don't know why this is, it doesn't run in the family and i'm the only one with it as far as I know. My legs, ass, lower back completely COVERED in long dark curly hair... my arms and chest are bad too but I trim those. I don't know if I wanna be shaving my whole body though... at least not yet. Id rather not have the completely shaved look but what else can I do? Any hair on the ass is bad so that has to be completely shaved if i do it... once I do that, it's not a haircut, I can't just do some kind of fade and gradually leave more hair as i go down(well maybe it is possible but it would be an insane amount of work). My other option, not in the near future, is laser hair removal.... but I don't know if i have the balls to walk in there and ask some complete stranger to get rid of the hair on my ass, it's REALLY embarassing. How hard is it to get a liscence to do that procedure or buy one of those machines for a business? (yea, im so desperate & embarassed that id go to all that trouble just to do it myself) What else can I do?? I hate this.

Laser hair removal machines range from 25-40k. Check ebay for "laser hair removal", there are several being offered. However, considering that the people who offer this service live to do nothing other than take hair off of peoples bodies, why should you be embarassed? It's their job. You pay them (quite a lot) for it. Unless the person operating the machine is a girl you've been trying to DJ, their opinion of you, your ass, or the hair on it shouldn't matter in the slightest... I doubt that they are going to see you out on the street while you're walking with your g/f and say "Hey, Bob! Remember me? I took the hair off of your ass!".

Perhaps you should go to the psychologist and get some Paxil, then go to the laser removal office.

For now, though, I don't see why you just don't go to the drugstore, buy a 20 dollar hair trimmer kit, and go all out. Use a #1 guard around the lower regions, a 2 or 3 on your legs and armpits, and none for your chest and back... and ass. Unless you're some sort of Werewolf, your hair shouldn't grow back to its original state very soon.

laser hair removal is expensive and dangerous with unexperienced hands. If the laser is not strong enough, it is useless. If it is a little stronger than what you need, you get pigmentation. If it is too strong>> burn baby burn.

So even if you have the money equivalent to a luxury car to throw away, you will most likely burn yourself..

Laser Only Good For Certain People

KillingTime,

Laser treatment only works for those with very dark, black hair and light skin (untanned caucasian). The reason is that the laser strength is triggered with the detection of the difference between the darkness of the hair and skin. The lack of that contrast will diminish the strenght, thus reducing the ability to kill the hair follicle.

I definitely do not recommend you to buy a machine and do it yourself. Laser treatment costs about $400 to $600 per body area. If you are an ideal candidate for it, you could do your entire back, for example, within five treatments. The total cost for a back treatment could be 5 x $600 = $3,000. Even if you did a few other body parts, it could cost a maximum of $10,000 (worst case).

Now compare:

1. Cost of $6,000 to $10,000 to receive professional and safe treatment.

2. Cost of $25,000 to $40,000 to buy the machine, then treating yourself. Obviously, you wouldn't be able to do your back.

Option 1 obviously is better.

If you are not a good candidate for laser treatment, then you would have to go with electrolysis, which costs about $60 to $80/hour. The only problem with electrolysis is that it is very expensive and time consuming for large hairy areas like a back, which could take between 100 to 120 hours of treatment. In the long run, a back could cost you 100 x $60 = $6,000 just for the back. The equivalent treatment from laser would have only taken about five hours.

If that previously mentioned options are too expensive, then the remaining alternative would be waxing. The problem with waxing is that although its a good short-term solution, it will damage the follicles permanantely. Later on, if and when you have more money and possibly consider electrolysis, you may not be able to get it. Once those follicles are damaged, electrolysis can't be used, as the needle and heat will damage the skin.

you cant really do anything.. nair tweesers shaving will all just make it worse when it regrows...

the gene to how much hair or how little hair you have is in your x chromosone... usually handed down from the mothers x for gals and not the x from the dad... in your case you got the x from your mom and the y from your dad ... have a talk with mom about your hairy ancestors

Hairy ass?!..... interesting. Well you can't shave your back and ass, but have you got a family member/friend that won't rip on you if you ask them to shave/wax your ass and back? Much cheaper this way.
