"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

OKay, without explaining to much of the backstory....

My ex girl and I were together for about a year... we broke up three times and got back together twice.. hence we're broken up... anyway.. I was under the impression I love this girl, and I do still.. but I've convinced myself its best to move on... I got really drunk and cheated on her (ya, I know, chump move, I feel like ass and won't let that happen EVER again) anyway, that relationship is ****ed, so I decided to stop chasing and LET IT BURN....

we last broke up in september.. Since then I've ****ed 2 other chicks, had an 18 year old fall in love with me (dropped her), and now I'm seeing an extremely attractive 20 yr/old.... everytime i put a rating up someone gets pissed.. he's a hb9 1/2 (cause apparently i can't say 10 :))

ANYWAY.. ex girl calls... "hey, lets get together" .. stupid me: "sure, sounds like a plan"... meet her at a pub cause i was at the gym late.. we met at 12...

the whole time i felt very risky, and paranoid.. i didn't really engage her in the way i usually do.. I entertained her small talk and her conversation, but didn't really talk to her like I cared, or wanted to share anything current with me... .anyway... so 1 am 1:30 am rolls around.. I suggest we call it a night... (we live in a student ghetto - her house is on the same street as the pub.. and mine is a few blocks away...) so at the intersection that I have to part ways with her.. I hug her and turn to leave.... she says "NO, don't do that!" im like.. What?? she goes.. "don't just walk away like that... " i was pretty confused so i told her if she stilll wanted to hang out we could go somewhere, her house, or my house.... after like a minute of standing there she said she wanted to come over, only if i walked her home... I agreed.... [[[WHAT THE ****]]] So we're lying on my bed watching chappelle show on my computer - i have my arm around her and shes holding me close... as if i was sleeping on my back, she had her head resting on my chest and her legs in the according position......... which is ridiculous... then she says "I miss this" - and i cracked... i almost started to CRY, cause i had been pouring it out to this chick and she always had been really close, but she never wanted to get back together since september.... anyway.. that really made me angry that she came over and did that.. I really wanted to kiss her, but im seeing someone else.................... i didn't tell her that....... i walked her home... we spoke about it a bit........she emails me the next night apologizing.... i emailed her back with "if there is a day you want me back, on that day I'm gone" and some other stuff, but that was the jist............

Im still screwed up by this! It makes me wonder if she found out that im seeing someone and is jealous, or what?! she said she was feeling lonely and sad and that she came over because she thought i might be feeling the same way................... but me seeing this other girl has subsequently had a positive effect on my esteem and flipped off my oneitis!.....

***anyone else have a similar experience? comments? the thing is.. I'm scared if she ever actually clearly stated that she wanted me back - that i might actually do it... ***

Oh WELL, Mark Morrison puts it best....

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

The longer you keep in contact with your ex, the longer it's going to take to get over her, and the longer you're going to be all fvcked up over her. Ditch the B1tch and go back to your HB9.5

Ex-es belong in one's past, not in one's life.
Move on, play no games with here.

im all over the 9.5... im just wondering how others have dealt with similar situations

"You Can't Argue a Woman Into Liking You"

You made your case like a lawyer. Stable job. Good guy. Ready for something real. All true. All irrelevant.

She weighed your points, nodded along, felt nothing — then fell hard for some tattooed bartender with a motorcycle and a gambling problem.

Logic is where attraction goes to die. The "22 Rules" work a level deeper, on the subconscious switches that decide within minutes whether you register as a MAN or as part of the furniture.

Stop presenting evidence. Start flipping switches.

I've been in a similar situation like this.

Let me tell you.... IT NEVER ENDS!

The same BS pattern will just keep playing itself out.
Up and down, left and right, Up and down, left and right!!!

In the long run, I wish I would have let her go earlier.

Of course you still have feelings for the chick somewhere inside you, as she does you.

But to open the door, and enter the same cycle again right now... up to you.

I also noticed that besides the love shared, and the beauty of relationships. There is a total power thing going on. When I had the power... she wanted (me) it back. When she had the power, I wanted it (her) back.

So I would go out on top, as you obviously already are. Once again, I wish I would have done this... in my similar relationship. We ended up going back and forth, in our same fvckin cycle for almost 2 yrs.. It just drains you, and robs you of much value/power.

Anyways... my 2 cents. Good luck to your happiness, whatever you choose.
