Why "Whatever You Want" Keeps You Single

She says the movie looks dumb; you suddenly agree. She tests you with a little attitude; you apologize for nothing.

You think you're being easy to get along with. She reads something else entirely: a man with no edges. Nothing to hold on to. No friction, no tension, no reason to wonder what he really thinks.

The "22 Rules" taught me to push back — playfully, calmly, without needing her approval. Strange things happened after that.

Let me set the stage:

Me
Andy - bastard ex friend
Gina - the girl I like
Amy - very good friends with gina. Has a crush on me.

I made the mistake of introducing that snake in the grass Andy to Amy, because I felt Amy had a crush on me and I didn't feel the same way, so I didn't care. I used to talk to andy a lot about gina, her issues and take tips from him on how to win her over. Fast forwarding, andy ****ed me over and I decided to drop him and be friends no more. A few weeks later I got to know that andy has blocked me on Facebook so he can start hitting on gina. That bastard. Despite him knowing how I feel about her, not only did he **** me over, he's now hitting on a girl I like. I spoke to Amy about it and told her what he was up to and that we were not friends anymore and she was shocked. She said if she had to choose between andy and me she'll go with me. I told her to stay away from andy and told her to tell gina too. Amy said she spoke to Gina, but I see gina is still talking to andy although Amy is making full effort to slowly phase andy out

This is making me angry to no extent and I don't know what to do. I don't care who gina goes out with, as long as its not andy. I want that ******* to stay away from both these women. So ideas or is it that I'm helpless and can just see this happen?

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

Not only am I still working on trying to get over gina, I now have to deal with the fact my friend is ****ing me over again. Maybe I didn't react maturely, but to get ****ed over twice is just too much. I told Amy yesterday to try talking to gina again, albeit not making obvious and she said she would. You think I should tell her not to? What is the damage control I can do?

Gina obviously likes talking to Andy.
Gina obviously doesn't want to do what you say.

Get over her. Hit on other chicks.

You really think Andy gave you tips to win her?
Nobody will help you get girls - except us here.
It's the one thing that you can't rely on anyone for help with.

Seriously man. Walk away and leave them to it chat to other people, guys and girls. Make new friends.
Show your indifference to the both of them.

Be a man. Realise this is childish and walk.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH.....

Son, never worry about who another man is laying the pipe to.

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

Yea. But it feels like such a back stab! The ego is taking a major blow. Especially if he manages to get her and given that Amy is common friends, it's bound to rub in my face. Won't do good for my self esteem.

Introducing another man to a girl = bad idea. Friends who flirt with your GF are no friends of yours; ditch them or screw them over if you can.
