"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

since breakup i havent spoken to her for almost 2 months. i kind of made it clear with the goodbye and see her around. the breakup was mutual. she did want to be friends when we last spoke but i rejected the offer as i find female friends useless, and i recall she just started seeing someone new at that time.

if im not mistaken a couple weeks ago, she immediately signed off when she saw i signed online...not sure.
so she imed me when she got online yesterday. she was typing up a bunch of stuff, basically updating me on what she's been up to...most of which i didnt even ask about. and she asked more questions about me than i did her.
she even wanted me to show her my final project (the one i told her i was working on when we last spoke 2 months ago), which i ignored. hell i even told her there was a fashion show oging on in school (she's in fashion major), said she'll check it out. but she always like that, saying things she dont mean.

does she want to be friends or something?

"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

Dood next time do a search because this has subject has been dissected to death on this board!!

Anyways, to answer your question she's contacting you because she's:

a) single again and lonely
b) about to be single and lonely
c) for attention

In either scenario you should move on and realize that the realtionship didn't work the first time around for a reason and while time can change feelings, the end result will most likely still be the same if you go for round 2.

Hmm... I have no experience with this, so I'd like to hear someone with more experience on this subject to comment...

What if he turned her into a fvckbuddy? Just have random sex with her...
Tell her you do NOT want a relationship anymore, because you both know it worked out like crap... Just for the sex though...

Is that possible with an ex-girlfriend?

solo1- pimp's A-C options are most likely correct. Girls love attention and will do anything to get it. One senior DJ on here told me for the most part women don't care if you love them or hate them just as long as you FEEL something for them. They can't stand it when a man can completely ignore his AFC instincts to become an emotional tampon after the relationship and broden his horizons for better plates to spin. They become jealous if they see you with new or better women even though they know they let you go. It's exactly like how we get territorial if we know some new dude is sexing the ex right after the relationship.

I think Pook's aphorism rings true here "Women are at their loudest when they’re lonely. This is also true with dogs." She's lonely, and wants your attention.

I-am-someone - Your idea to turn your ex into a FB could be for better or worse. Depending on how you ended it if you have sex often enough after the relationship it's likely one of you can become reattached. What will hurt even more is if one of you finds someone more compatible with and decides to drop the FB connection for something more solid. This will leave you or her with more baggage. Not worth it in my opinion. Do you need her intimacy for self-validation? If not, I say move on and work on more options so you're not limited to one. Focus on yourself and your life and not a broken plate that's already been dropped.

place to place.
resilent nailed it. i've had many exs contact me over the years and it's nothing but them checking up on you to see if you still have feelings for them. if you talk about how great your life has been since you broke up, they'll get angry. if you tell them how much you miss them, they'll just throw crumbs to you with no hopes of you ever getting back with them.

if your ever with a girlfriend and your ex happens to be around, they'll come over and flirt like mad. when you move on and their still single and in misery, thats usually when you'll hear from you ex.

she's just looking for attention.

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

Just delete her phone number from your phone. Next delete her contact from messenger. Problem solved.
