I know because I was one of them. The overthinking. The paralysis. The silent drive home kicking yourself for freezing up. Watching average guys walk away with the girl while you stood there stuck in your own head.

You are currently being used as a "insurance policy" by your ex. You can't see that for all the BS she's spinning, but that's exactly what it is. My ex wife wanted to remain "friends". Same logic, she knew I wanted the relationship to work so she kept door "open" for a later date. The difference is I told my Ex no. You have not, and your ex knows it.
My advice, send 1 communication that says you've thought about it and have decided that since the relationship ended it should stay ended. 1 person, 1 relationship, 1 lifetime. That's my motto.

Dear Apollo,

Dear Apollo,
Only anyone who came down in the last shower would take you seriously!

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.
