"The Kiss of Death Mistake"

You replay the conversation at 2 a.m. She texted back fast yesterday. Today, nothing. Was that smile friendly or flirty? What did the shoulder touch mean?

Every hour you spend decoding her signals drains your confidence and hands her the controls. Women can sense that insecurity from across the room — and it repels them.

One of the "22 Rules" kills the obsession on the spot: assume she likes you, and act accordingly. Sounds too simple. Works anyway.

Her interest tends to rise to meet your expectations. Psychologists call it a self-fulfilling prophecy.

I've been recollecting on the girls that i've met in class. You know the girls that when its the first day of class you look around and spot out the one you really wanna approach.

3 of the most recent ones have been near identical to this. I need to change something i dunno what:

-Approach girl outside of class, never talk to her in class, it seems needy.(talk to other people)
-During approach talk for a few minutes and get name. Dont need number as of yet. Usually i can tell if she's interested if she is happy to give me her full name.
-Now here is WHERE I ALWAYS LOOSE IT. Only once have i been succesfull and pulled a date which turned out to be an AW flaking.

-I get the idea that since we've both exchanged names I dont need to be the one always opening conversation(even though i dont mind)This girl and I have talked twice, I got her name on wed made her laugh, felt good. Today(friday) i go in to class, sit down, hear her making some snickering noise(thinking she's trying to get my attention) I look back at her hoping to get some looks back. Got nothing(wtf man?no big deal i get her after class) I pack my books up look behind me and this chick is zooming out the door. I decided to leave it there.

-heres the part i hate. It is the only thing that angers me so intensly i cant think straight for the next few hours. Im never angry and am always try to be happy but instances like this where i had so much hope just kill me.

SS, what do you think? should i NEXT? maybe she had a valid reason for leaving so quickly? i was the one to wait for her the past 2 times. Maybe this girl is just REALLLLLYY shy? or maybe she just doesnt dig me?

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

your problem is that your most likey do look needy while trying not to.

talk to these girls once in while, not every day.
treat them as conversation people, not lay poeple.
learn to converse and stay in converse first before trying the close.

don't expect to get everywhere all at once man.

Ya i think you may have pretty much nailed it. Question, When you say conversation people..you mean like people you just talk to for the heck of it? and what do ya mean by staying in converse before closing? MY problem is that I really am needy and im trying to play it off like im not. I didnt wanna waste time, i intended on asking this girl out today..you think i should wait a week or so before asking her?

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

That sounds big-time AFC.

That's what we're trying to not do. You don't NEED a girl; You NEED to take control of your life, and the girls will fall in place. That advice is all over this board as well.

Doesn't seem as if there's any real rapport, only some chit chat. By the way, why would it be lame to talk to her in class, wouldn't that be the place to do the chit chat and then sarge her fully after class (if you aren't comfortable showing your skills in front of some potential c0ck blockers).

well actually no one talks in class at all, and by the time i arrive all seats around her are taken and people are working. I figured with such crappy oppurtunites during class(which I would have nothing to say, or no good time to say it) that I wouldnt bother in class at all and just sarge after class. Besides doesnt that show more confidence? BTW. The reason why im pursuing her now, was cause she held the door for me the other day gave me a big smile and we made small talk. If not for that i would not be interested.

Dude I'm new to the college (I assume you're in college) and I have realized that most girls there don't even seem to want a bf.... they just want to sl-ut around for a while or be attention wh-ores. This is the truth. If you only want to fu-ck, that is not hard to accomplish, like at a party with drunk girls. If you want a relationship, it will be harder. You say you're needy and it's good that you're honest, but you gotta do as these guys say. I personally never though women made good conversation and were worth talking to just for the hel-l of it, but I realize you have to do it, you have to go through the motions.

The best thing to do is to meet a lot of people. I have met so many people that when a girl flakes on me or doesn't return a call I don't even notice.

Like this week I was thinking about some of the girls ive met since school started up again and I said to myself "wow, I havent talked to her in like a week already".

I didn't even care, because this week I got a total of 4 new numbers, and 1 AIM screen name (from a girl who gave me a massage on the bus).

When you start dealing with people in that way you don't get that one-itis, which is the act of obsessing over a girl you arent even dating or banging. I mean think about it. You arent even dating or screwing these girls, so what have you got to lose? The WORST case scenario is nothing gained, nothing lost.

I dont know how you can change your needy attitude without resorting to NLP tactics and stuff, but it really has to go because you are projecting it in your communications and are probably coming off as a "creepy" guy.

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.
