"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.

I was wondering if anyone here might have talked to a woman once before in the past, and then found out somehow that perhaps she might have been a lesbian? This is a follow-up thread to a post I wrote entitled: "She Isn't Interested, So Why Does She Give Out Her Number?" If you haven't read that post, you'll have to read it to understand this follow-up. Basically, it was about a recent woman at my gym (seems to be in her early 20s, College-aged) who I talked to several weeks ago, got her number, called her twice, but she never returned my calls. Since then, I've been playing the game the way she wants it to be played and it will stay that way. And that is, when we run into each other at the gym, we don't talk to each other or say hi to one another. We act as if we don't know each other. Closed. Moved on.

Some time last week, I saw her with a female friend of hers. And again, I'm not trying to judge her, they may just be close friends, but based on the bvibe that I seemed to notice between them, I just felt that they came across to be a a bit more than just friends. Not once did they part ways from each other while on the treadmill. They kept giggling and laughing with each other, smiling and looking into each other's eyes, and the one accompanying the other whererever she went. Both of them actually came right to the machine where I was working out and sat right next to me. The one I had talked to, looked at me straight in the eye but said nothing, and I just ignored them both and kept on with my workout.

"You're gonna do four sets of 15, ok?" she said to her friend.

"What? Are you kidding? I will die!" Her friend responded.

Then as I walked toward the Men's Locker room at the end of my workout, her friend kept staring at me for a couple minutes, and I could tell from the look in her eyes that the one I had talked to must have told her about me. Big deal. I kept on with my business. Her friend who I had talked to several weeks ago quickly loked away when I was walking past them toward the locker room, avoiding making any contact with me.

I think as a person originally from a foreign country, the amazing experiences I have had here in America in terms of dating are womderful learning experiences and continue to be learning experiences. It's just amazing how cold-hearted and insensitive some people can be, but with each experience, I'm only getting stronger. Just thought I'd share.

"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

The best advice I can give is to listen to your gut instincts. Don't second guess yourself. If you suspect something about a woman don't ignore it.

What you need to do is ask her very direct questions. Have you ever felt attracted to another woman? have you ever fooled around with one? etc.

Be a man about this. If you smell some stinky ***** then get the facts and interrogate her.

Re:

I won't even waste my time asking her any questions because we don't talk anymore in the first place. I'm playing the game the way she wants it be played. I'm not going to put her in a position of power or give her an upper hand. After all, I only talked to her once. I don't know her very well at all. If she is a lesbian, more power to her.
