I'm coming here because I'm betting you guys have more stories or can give it to me straight.
I just started dating someone and were together about 4 weeks when a woman he had been non-committedly dating popped up and said she is pregnant with his child. He says this was an off-on relationship for the past two-three years. Didn't say why the were breaking up so much. Just the previous week he had asked me to be exclusive and we seemed to be falling for each other. I don't feel he was being unauthentic about his feelings for me, we seemed very compatible and attracted to each other. We actually never even got to spend our first night together because she called and dropped this news right before our plans. (My point is that he didn't hit and quit it.)
He claims he last slept with her in October before taking a work trip and that they had both decided to back things off for a while because between them both having kids, it was too hard to make plans for each other. However, she claims to be "6-7 weeks along." She insists that he is the father, but this doesn't really fit with the timeline he is claiming that he slept with her. I don't know how old she is, but she is in her 40's and he is 46. She said is on the pill and that she thinks taking antibiotics caused this to happen.
He said he needs to do the right thing and try to work things out with her for the child. He claims to be very upset about this and doesn't think he is in love with her because of how he feels about me. I have told him that it seems weird that NOW she would be pregnant when he was trying to back away from her and at her age it is hard to get pregnant. He said he needs to trust until proven otherwise. I don't understand why he isn't more suspicious, but he knows all the facts and knows her better than me.
Has anyone here had a woman fake pregnancy to get you back? Care to share your stories? I have known of a lot of women over the years that seemed to get accidently pregnant to tie a guy down and if she really is pregnant, I'm suspicious she did this for that reason.
