"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

I have a female friend i havent seen for a while she had a partner at the time and so did i, anyway fast forward two years and she drunk messages me out the blue in the middle of the night followed by that ****ty halo emoji!

take in mind we have plenty of other mutuals she could have messaged so i played on it i wasnt happy with her trying to booty call me at 4am (as ill never know the real reason for her message)

anyway i said i havent seen you for a while well have to go for a drink next week

her reply was " I just messaged you cause you was the only one online at 3am, but yeah id like that you always make me smile"

where do i go from here havent got much experience in the old friend into plate scenario,

ive ceased contact now saying ill contact her to arrange

"Why Women Dump the Guys Who Try the Hardest"

You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.

And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.

Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.

The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.

Mid level interest at best on her end, she is basically saying "no, you got the wrong idea."

Anyway, do a low investment date and definitely include alcohol. Wait for her to initiate touch, which she will if she is into you.
No, disagree, touch yourself, always kino. If she goes on a date with you, you should always think that she likes you. Be cexual and touchy to let her feel comfort with you touching her.

im under the impression you never touch a woman first whos in the friend area?

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

This happens to me frequently. It happened last night. Don't waste your time chasing her, chicks live in the emotional moment and these moments pass quickly. Unless she is standing outside your door in nothing but a trench-coat, nothing is likely to happen because by the time you can set up the logistics... the moment will have passed. Never assume past female action indicates future possibility.

The OP handled it perfectly... ask for a date... she didn't say yes... so you move on. Toss it back to her and say if she ever changes her mind then let you know... but make it clear 4 am in the morning isn't going to work for you.

Hate when female friends do that. For 2 reasons, either I don't see them that way or they leave me thinking if it's worth risking our friendship over sex.

i didnt ask for a date from a drunk text i believe i handled it well by not asking what she wanted and joking she was booty calling me.. i dropped the hint i hadnt seen her in a while well have to have a catch up drink , nothing wrong with that,...i then left the convo quick time, got work to do sort of thing

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

Keep in mind this girl literally drunk texted him. Know your target audience, this girl is an extrovert and they like to chase
Doesnt matter, touch and show interest on the dates, make the date awesome for the both of You then step back with initiating on text or calls.
