I was recently having a tremendous phone convo with a sosuave member, who just so happens to be a great contributor of knowledge around here, and we discussed The Chase. Not being too available. Playing the game to build interest, desire and sexual tension.
One of my passions is trophy whitetail deer hunting (bow hunting). I've been addicted to it since I was 13 years old and I've spent an insane amount of money on buying hunting property, equipment, etc.
The question on table was "if the deer just walked in front of you and laid down so you could shoot them, would you still like to do it?". Obviously the answer is "no", as I find great pleasure in spending months of my time preparing for a moment that might happen and be over in 10 seconds. I get great joy in putting in the sweat and hard work during the summer months all the way up to the second I release an arrow at the one mature buck that I'm hunting. My satisfaction is the hard work and pursuit. The closure is when that one animal presents itself and gives me an opportunity. A culmination of the time and hard work invested into a moment in time that is there and gone in a matter of seconds. The kill isn't the self reward. The opportunity of the chance through my hard work and investment is the reward.
3 points to this ramble:
1. Get outdoors. You don't have to pick up a weapon and be a hunter, but go outdoors and find yourself. I've solved some of my hardest problems in life from a treestand or on my boat.
2. Don't be the animal that just lays down to get shot. Be the one that must be pursued.
3. Enjoy the ride of dating, self improvement and investing in yourself. Improve yourself to increase your amount of opportunities. More importantly, increase your self worth to be valuable and pursued. Never be the prey that lets themselves just be shot. Learn to be the trophy that is desired and pursued by women. Have a passion for the work that goes into doing just that.
Happy Hunting
