"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

I got engaged christmas evening..I had this entire thing planned out but then because of time restraints it couldnt happen..
so I popped the question in my bed :)..i figured..the first intamicy was there, first sex was there, first i loves you were there..and the baby was probably concieved there...
I was nervous..but i got to it..it was a cool feeling asking someone that and u know there answer but ur still nervous.

she said "it would be my honor" then "yes".

so now we are engaged..next will be marriage/moving intogether in may/june...

then baby in july..barring no complications...

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

Congrats, but why do you care what others think ?, just suck it up and expect some a-holes to flame or put you down. you post this here so we can congratulate you, but really the only one who should be caring is you, Not a stranger on the internet ready to make a comment so you can go on the defensive.

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

correct, oneitis is when you have feelings for someone that aren't recipicated in return... if someone agrees to spend the rest of their life with you, that's the farthest thing from oneitis

Good Luck with everything.

You are proof of what a DJ can accomplish if the stuff here is applied. Instead of sitting at home and crying about not having a girlfriend, you went out and met people using the skills you learned here and scored yourself a wife.

Way to go.

Woah 23 that's one year older then me, don't see me getting married just yet!

But anyway, different countries, different cultures, so congratulations mate! Best of luck, and I wish you a healthy kid!

"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

Nice story, makes my heart actually pound faster...

This song comes to my mind...

Somewhere down the road, you’re gonna find a place
It seems so far, but it never is
You won’t need to stay, but you might lose your strength
On the way

Sometimes you may feel you’re the only one
Cos all the things you thought were safe, now they’re gone
But you won’t be alone, I’ll be here to carry you along
Watching you ’til all your work is done

When you find your heart, you’d better run with it
Cos when she comes along, she could be breaking it
No there’s nothing wrong, you’re learning to be strong
Don’t look back
She may soon be gone, no don’t look back
She’s not the only one, remember that

If your heart is beating fast, then you know she’s right
If you don’t know what to say, well, that’s all right
You don’t know what to do?
Remember she is just as scared as you

Don’t be shy, even when it hurts to say
Remember, you’re gonna get hurt someday, anyway
Then you must lift your head, keep it there
Remember what I said
I’ll always be with you don’t forget
Just look over your shoulder I’ll be there.

If you look behind you, I will be there.

Who knows, maybe a distant day, in the world of tomorrow, your son might found out this page, and realize that his father had been as fragile and strong and ambitious as he'll surely turn out to be.

Congrats, mate!

nice, keep us posted on how things go.

Every man settles down at some point, it would be nice to know what to do and what not to do in the marriage game.
