This has nothing to do with Elliot Page exactly, but:
I was listening to the radio the other day, don't know what the show was. Someone called in and said their daughter had just come out as lesbian, and they were very surprised because she had always been so boy crazy. The host said that a lot of the time young women go through phases. He said that in his experience, and in the experience of other men he knew, women's sexuality was more flexible than men's.
He said he knew many women who had said they were lesbian, but later met a guy and got married. This matches my experience too. I've known women who swore they were lesbian, then the next thing you know they're married and have a kid.

I remember when I saw "Juno" in a theater. I was going through some difficult personal stuff at the time in early 2008. 2008 got worse as the year went on. Bad year. A lot of the things that made 2008 bad were coming to light in 2007.
