"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

Hey everyone, I want to talk about the Male Ego.

I just watched the movie 'Revolver' its a Guy Ritchie movie, so be expected to have a bit of a mind-**** during the whole thing. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0365686/
It really touched on the subject of the male mind/ego and the changes we come across.

It got me thinking about how much control our Ego has on our day-to-day decisions. It's important to eliminate ego as much as possible, at the gym the motto is to 'leave your ego at the door' but why stop there? Ego just blocks our clear vision of self-analysis to better our character.

I heard one interviewer say, "this movie makes me feel stupid, and I don't like to feel stupid."

Which is exactly the point made in the movie, nobody can have their intelligence insulted, ego wouldn't stand for it. And that's exactly why so many people walk away from this movie frustrated and with a head ache (literally, there are threads where people complain about getting head aches from this movie). Mostly not even really knowing why.

But it's not an intelligence thing. The most intelligent people in the world are still completely taken in by ego, often even more so (because ego is the master of post-rationalization, and clever people really like their own cleverness). It's an honesty thing. The only way to get it and see it is by being ruthlessly honest with yourself, instead of always making excuses to defend your pride and comfort. That is ego at play.

Ego has every advantage. Every advantage... Except truth. That's why radical, honest self-scrutiny is the only key. Ego is all about vanity and denial. You can't outsmart ego because it is always smarter, you can't fight ego because it will just be ego shadow boxing with itself, you can't judge ego because it's always only ego that judges. All you can do is be completely inwardly observant and completely inwardly honest. It's not easy.

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

Good indeed, this is why I'm still in the process of improving myself on a spiritual and mental level, so that my confidence rises according to myself growing while not pumping my ego like a baloon.

Definitely gonna watch the movie, as I'm a fan of Guy Ritchie's work.
