Hey guys, just saw the MTV show "MADE". It was about a fat/low confidence kid who wanted to be prom king or something. Anyway, his made coach was NFL running back Eddie George. I just thought you guys should check it out if you see it. He kpet talking to the kid about having confidence in yourself ALL THE TIME, NOT MATTER WHAT.

One quote that I liked that Eddie George told the kid was: "Youre a '10' all the time". I know this is really nothing new here, but having confidence is the real deal. He made the kid approach girls to get dates. He got shot down a lot, but once he gained a little confidence in his approach, he got some numbers and maybe a date too, i forget.

Well, just thought some of you might like to check it out. It is especially good for the guys who ARE NOT picking up chics, as you can see how easily it can be done. You can also see how true confidence is displayed...the way Eddie George carries himself.(I realize he is a famous pro athlete, but he still displays tremendous confidence all the time). So check it out.

p.s. He has some pretty good style as far as clothing goes, i actually got some good ideas from him that i might use to adjust my own.

Yea he actually had him doing affirmations in the mirror too. He also told him something like: "everywhere you walk is the jungle, you are the lion, act like it!"

I think Eddie George reads so suave

I used to love Eddie George. One of my favorite football players ever. The guy was a true leader, really pumped his team and would sacrifice his body. In fact that's why his career started to fade so early.

Anyway, it doesn't surpirse me at all that Eddie George has that much confidence. I really want to see that episode now!

Tell her a little about yourself, but not too much. Maintain some mystery. Give her something to think about and wonder about when she's at home.

Saw it... it was lame. George was a knob. He comes in knocking the chubby kid's bright yellow shoes (which were hiddious) in an equally hiddious Miami Vice ensamble. It was probably up-to-the-minute hip hop cool, but I just don't subscribe the the 'you're black, so therefore you're exempt from fashion critisizm' crap. The dude is undoubtedly out of touch with teen-whitebread America.

He failed to address the kid's real problems. He was chubby (not really obese), short, and a dork (i.e. his rep was sh1t)... did drama club and whatnot. Well, he did have the kid work out a bit to lose some weight. Basciaclly, he gets shot down by all sorts of chicks... from UGs to hotties, then gets 'pimped out' (gets dorky Top Gun shades and a cheesy vintage tee) and hits it up with a mediocre, reserved kind of girl (who was equally in dork land if you make note of her friends).

He did nothing to put the kid in a better circle (he wanted to be a player), and I'd bet money that after the 'tranformation' the hotties would still have given him the same 'yeah, right' response... and I'm not even factoring in the fact that everyone was playing for the camera.

Why should Eddie George or any other black person give a fk about being in touch with "teen-whitebread america." He's a black kid that attends a diverse high school.

Eddie attacked the fat kids REAL issue: His weight (390lbs?), his attitude-- Eddie told him "we can change your appearance over time, but we have to start with what in the inside first."

He was forced to train, eat right, and approach girls (something that he never thought he could do.)

Did you really expect that guy to pull a HB10, he never even approached a women before.

Eddie gave the ame quality advice that we give here: Look good, work on your inner game, get in shape, get out there and face rejection, and the fat kid did all of that...

Drama club and all that shyt isn't fking important--- I don't believe that you have to destroy everything that you are to succeed.

We must be talking about a different episode of the same show, becaue the kid in the one I watched was white... and more importantly, well immersed in suburban 'white' culture. My comment was far more about subculture than race.

And in highschool, yes you do have to destory everything you are to succeed (and then some)... that's the environment, conformity or ostracization. I did exatcly what a lot of you guys preach on here thoughout highschool, kept my personaility, was confident and stood up for myself, looked my best, and got sh1t on and ignored in general. So, please, give me a F'ing break, the median H.S. HB doesn't give a F'k about your attitude. It's your rep, and your associations, and your extracirricular actvities. If he got the kid all the above, you could'a pulled a HB10 with ease. They would have flocked to him. Stop being delusional about H.S.

/\eddie george was on a different episode of made....i think i know wut youre talkin about tho. u watched the one with that professional player who made that white kid more confident. that was cool too

if u had to change EVERYTHING in your life before u got good wit women then u musta been a really big loser to start wit....most people dont hav to do that and most people shouldnt do that cus thats not being tru to yourself....but as long as ur happy man, thats cool. dont get mad when i say this but u musta been some kinda extreme case

really, who gives a fuk about ur rep when ur having fun and finding ways to get wit girls without bein super popular. as long as ur not that ugly loser in the corner who plays dungeons and dragons all day and doesnt talk to anybody at school

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

Yo, what are you talking about? You just seem bitter about not succeeding in high school. I keep my personality, I'm confident, and I get respect, I do look great, and I'm one of the most popular kids in my SCHOOL. And not just with my ethnicity (I'm black), literally everyone from preps, jocks, stoners, black kids, white kids, spanish kids, even exchange students ALL like me. To this day I think there are two people that don't like me (A couple, her boyfriend "forbade" her to talk to me because I was flirting with her lmao). The HB does give a **** about your attitude, what are you talking about? How do you get a good rep, good associations, and exceed in extracirricular activities? By being confident, and taking respect from people you deserve it from. Success is all in the attitude. Do you think the star football players get laid, JUST because they are the stars? I have never (and one of my best friends IS a star football player, college draft letters and all), seen a star high school football player be all shy, tentative, and weak. Because really, if they were only good on the field and couldn't even look a girl in the eye and were all nervous weak and nerdy, there talent would only get them so far (they MIGHT, get laid every so often, but they'd be too ***** to go for it).

I dunno where you get your facts from, but they are WRONG.

Who said I changed EVERYTHING... or anything? I haven't changed much at all and while I've not gotten the gads of action that I've wanted, I've done all right with women here and there... but I'm still right, rep is everything in highschool... and you can't stray much from it.

You're statement is proof: I did play D&D... so F'ing what? I still do. It's 'tru' to myself... I enjoy doing it. Gads of dorks pay it, so do a few cool guys, and even the occasional babe... but you demote based on an absolute confomist concept of rep, and that's the reality of highschool. On the other hand, I was/am not the least bit ugly, was confident and sociable, dressed well, and fronted a band. That's the kinda alpha male sh1t that will pull like mad... AFTER you gradutate a rural, all-white highschool. H.S. = athlete (in one of maybe three accepted sports) + in crowd = access to HB's. There's not much variation from that.

Wrong. I played MMORPGs on the daily, and was alot more nerdy, yet I was still part of the "in" crowd, didn't really play sports until like 9th grade, and even then it was only track, and I used to live in a rural all white middleschool, now im in a suburb high school that used to be all white, now its more mixed with alot of spanish white, and blacks. Stop making excuses, you can succeed with enough desire if you truly want to.

Being that I'm 29, I'm not really trying to succeed in highschool anymore. I'm comfortable who I am and I've dated same beautiful women, had some decent relationships but highschool was s**t. I was pretty much the same guy I am now (sans the college education, decent paying job, nice car, and the house)... I keep the same interests, hobbies, passions, and pride... but I'll tell you, being the singer in the school's heavy metal band, that plays RPG's, enjoys competitive shooting and international motorsport WON'T score you the top tier HB's in a rural school with less than 50 kids in your graduating class... no matter how respectable you play off your angle.

That's where you lived, anywhere else someone who shoots guns and rides motorbikes and is a lead singer in a popular band isn't going to find it to hard to find women.

I see you siad rural though, not urban (I dunno why I thought it said urban), that's probably why, you were in the country :p.

Arch we were talking about two different shows. I attended a really cool high school where there were all kinds of people. Drama kids weren't beat up, band kids were cool because they played rap songs and danced, it was also not uncommon to see people from completely different groups come together and become friends. This was at a performing arts high school, so it proably doesn't hold true for most high schools, but I still wouldn't tell some one to become totally fake in order to be 'cool' or some shyt...
