I don't care if it's common or not. The maturity level of a 15 year old is very different than a 19 year old. What kind of conversation could you possible have?
You didn't address the real meat of the matter. It's a package deal with her family. If a girl I was seeing had a family that didn't like me, I'd tell her I don't need this crap and move on to a girl with a better family. If they really are prejusticed against you, there is nothing that you will be able to do to change anything.
