Just spent like 80.00 on meat and veggies. I found some organic beef, wild salmon, turkey patties. 5 different kinds of veggies.

I'm starting to eat like 12 times per day, while staying within a healthy calorie range.

My goal is to never be hungry, fill myself with low gi food, and to only eat whole foods.

Exercise: 30 mins of cardio every morning/ night...I walk 2hrs everyday at work. Lift using compound movements; d-lifts, squats, power cleans, millitary press, b-press, and rows.


I'm using a tape measure to gauge my results.

Uh.. organic beef, wild salmon and prepared meats will be more expensive than chicken breasts and tuna, that's for sure.

You can eat healthily quite cheaply if you persevere.

What are you trying to do, build yourself up or what?

salmon is a huge $$$ drain. it's nice to eat every once in a while, but if you build a whole diet around it, you better be prepared to drop down the greens. same with organic beef.

eating healthy is not expensive. eggs are fairly cheap. at priceclub / costco, you can buy a big box of skinless / boneless chicken breasts for like $30, and it comes with 25 breasts. that lasts me almost 2 weeks.

you can buy cold cuts, oatmeal, tuna, whole wheat bread, etc for pretty cheap. same with rice. you're still new to this, so you're gonna be confused. however once you learn what foods you need and you get used to buying them, you'll be able to find deals.

Stuff like milk and cottage cheese is hardly expensive either.

In USA you have very cheap proteins - like 10$ for a 5lbs box.. in EU its 10 times expensiver..

and also protein bars.. how much do they cost in USA ?

Can u name some prices ? Here in our country a bar with 30g proteins costs around 4-5$..

Then eat proteins in shakes.. 10$ for a box is the cheapest source of proteins IMO.

Yeah I could've just bought tuna and chicken breast, but Im tired of them both. I don't eat dairy products any more and I'm allergic to eggs... In a few weeks I might have the palate for chicken again.

I'm seriously doubtful as to whether there are any benefits to eating 'organic' or 'natural' foods.

The possible downsides of GE have been seriously exaggerated by dogmatists and morons who subscribe blindly to anything which markets itself as a health item.

If you buy food which is marketed as a health product, you'll probably find yourself paying more.

Eating isn't so expensive. When I bulk, my primary sources of caloric intake are Milk, Oats, Tuna and Eggs (probably in that order)... none of which are very expensive. Salmon isn't something you eat every day, unless you have the time to go out and catch it yourself (or you're a rich bastard). It IS possible to eat big AND healthy on a budget. Trust me, I eat big and go to college at the same time. :p

i think organic food is overated.....if you go to like HEB instead of an organic food store youll spend half as much as you did.

I ain't bit**ing, I like organic beef cus they don't use growth hormones, antibiotics, and meat products. Some ranchers use the left over products from slaughter in their feed... Wild salmon is safer than farm grown, lower mercury levels.

My point was that it is cheaper to eat at McD's than eating veggies/ organic meats. Nasty processed food is cheaper.

Organic food is the most expensive kind. Probably it is better, yes, but it is very expensive. Sometimes teh difference in price could be like 300-400%!!!

If you are willing to eat not only organic, try to shop at stores that sell it relatively cheap: Sam's club\costo - they sell everything in bulk and it could be quite cheap.
Try to find Aldi in your area - they sell food even cheaper...just go to their web-site.

My point is dont just go and buy food. First figure out what stores in your area sell it cheap....
