Get this app or an app similar to this one, QuakeFeed. Set a quake filter so it alerts you only for quakes which are 6 or higher. You will be surprised. I have this app since the start of summer, and man, it's an eye opener. So many quakes happen each week which are 6 or higher. It's happening all over the world and almost every day, sometimes several times per day.
This quake happened to Indonesia, first it was 6.1 on 11.2 mile depth, then 3 hours later 7.5 on 6.2 mile depth, and then tsunami hit. Horrible. They don't even know yet how many died, but reports say lots of bodies liter the shores. Today 6.6 happened on depth of 342 miles near Fiji.
