Some guys are just obviously really concious of what image they are trying to project, doesn't it kind of annoy you when you see a guy obviously trying to project an alpha image with certain behaviour...

Yes. They too are often personality disordered and very insecure. It is extremely annoying and I tend to try and disrupt their image just for kicks. I'm not a fan of this "alpha" stuff anyway.

I spread my arms as wide as I can; same with my legs.

I'm taking up a lot of space and have an open body language. My look just screams Alpha.

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Sometimes when you see a real Alpha male in the room you will actually sense that he is overly aggressive in some manner, but a lot of times when you get to know him you become friends and you later feel guilty for your first impression. Also, a lot of times your hatred of him is that you are jealous of him (sometimes this guy gets your girl). It's hard, but don't be quick to judge people.

A real Alpha male is someone you want on your side.

But pretending to be Alpha is definitely not Alpha, and there is no such thing as Alpha on a forum. The closest you can come is Moderator.
