"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

I've always liked being in LTRs over one night stands. For all guys that think they lost the perfect one, DON'T WORRY.

Every time I break up with a girl, there's always one to replace her that is just as helpful, loving, beautiful, with integrity...

Just keep dating and keep setting your standards higher. I almost WANT to break up with this amazing woman I'm with right now just because I can't wait to see what else is out there waiting for me.

(of course I won't because I'm happy... but, you get the picture!)

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

Good stuff. :p:

I'll add to learn what worked, what didn't and adjust whatever is necessary. Also remember that you don't need to be defined by your past, you can easily redefine who you are at this immediate moment.

Those first few days of breakup are usually euphoria to me..

I go out the next few nights on the prowl only to find that I'm rusty as a hell, but hey it all comes back in good time :)

I feel bad for those who choose to live in the past.

when me and my ex (of 3 yrs), broke up last summer, i was bummed for awhile, but once i got my game back ive never been happier. Now i dont care about relationships, im having too much fun. Live life when your young. When you hit 30, find something to marry if thats what you wish. Im going to find a virgin Thai girl to marry. Screw american women.

true. i am living proof. broke up with a girl, found a better one. broke up with her, and found an even better one. or maybe its my mind playing tricks on me, but who cares, improvement is all that matters.

"You Can't Argue a Woman Into Liking You"

You made your case like a lawyer. Stable job. Good guy. Ready for something real. All true. All irrelevant.

She weighed your points, nodded along, felt nothing — then fell hard for some tattooed bartender with a motorcycle and a gambling problem.

Logic is where attraction goes to die. The "22 Rules" work a level deeper, on the subconscious switches that decide within minutes whether you register as a MAN or as part of the furniture.

Stop presenting evidence. Start flipping switches.

place to place.
breaking all contact is the most important step to moving on. don't answer their phone calls, don't visit their myspace pages to see if they met anybody new or to see if they are talking about you like they miss you, don't got to old places you and her use to frequent because the nostalgia effect will make you remember which is the last thing you want to do.

if you've been dumped by her, than chances are it's going to be a shock to the system. it's like working at a place you love and the boss says we have to let you go for no reason. like most people you'll analyze what went wrong. the sinking feeling of singlehood will kick in. seeing other couples holding hands and showing love to one another will make you feel like sh@t. you'll want to talk about her to all your friends and if their cool they'll slap you and say move on. every night yo hope she will call or maybe tommorrow you'll bang into her.

after you realize she isn't going to call you. you take baby steps to get back in the game you think she probably moved on so you take a chance and go sarging on girls and get rejected by them all, will only enhance the feeling of lonelyness and thats usually about the time the ex will contact you. then the sickness thickens. you know she'll never get back together with you but you'll rationalize on message boards that you miss her and how can you get her back. you realize you've been infected by the great plague oneitis. everybody around you tells you your being stupid and let go of her. as time wears on you figure that you'll never get her back and the healing begins. your hobbies distract you from the past and lifting weights makes you feel better. then you bang into the ex and she's sweet and nice and looks f@cking amazing and she says call me and the feelings that you thought you left behind are creeping up. but you noticed you have become stronger over time and laugh and not call her.

finally you meet a new girl and you wonder what you saw in the last girl you dated and you feel like slapping yourself how you acted back than. through the the years you date many women and after a while a break-up becomes second nature and you become immune to one-itis.
