"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

this isnt really relationship help or even help with asking a girl out. iam not good at reading people (espicelly over the internet) i thought ied post this in the highschool section because iam in that age range so things will still apply. ok so i was playing a game over the internet and then after about 5 or 10 minutes this person asked for my msn we then went on that and talked on and off for about 3 hours.

iam not that good at holding a conversation but i did give a lot more to it then she did now i got the impresion shes not interested or lost interest since she asked for my msn i then left it at that thinking ied never hear from her again.

then the next day i get a message "goodnight (my name) :)" then before i even realise this has happened she is offline. so the next day (today) i get back from school come online and then i try to start up a conversation which results in pretty much the same thing me having to hold the conversation by myself when all the responses i get arent open ended so i cant ask questions about them.

i assume she doesnt want to talk to me and is just being polite and leave it at then. Then a few hours later she starts a conversation and asks how iam doing again i try and hold a conversation but when you dont get decent responses back what can you do .

This is starting to get me very confused i cant see why someone would just ask me (a stranger) for my msn then talk to me and not contribute because if you do that you obviously want to talk (or do you?). Anyway iam basicly asking what are her intentions, i did think for a second she was shy (and she did say she was) allthough i consider myself EXTREMLY shy so i dont really see that as a possability. Basicly ied like to know why she is talking to me then not holding a conversation.

the answer is probably very simple and no doubt ill end up looking like a idiot. thanks.

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

Umm...you can only be so shy over the internet, some im guessing thats not it. Why do you even care? Its the internet and a stranger. Learn how to talk to people, its that simple.

its more curiosity rather then caring it just puzzles me and yeah i agree about being shy over the internet etc and i can talk to people its just a bit hard when the only responses u get are either ":)" "awww" "lol" or a combination of those.
