I barely ever come here any more, but I just read this in a Yahoo news article, and I think if anyone should benefit from it, it would be the chumps on these boards.

why? I would only celebrate valentine's day if I had a wife. She is the only woman I would buy something for. I won't buy any gifts for a girlfriend, which could be changed anytime for a better one.

Valentine's Day is nothing really worth celebrating about. If you must celebrate, try to avoid the "gift giving" scenario that big business wants you to believe. Take her out to dinner, have a nice walk, a nice chat, go somewhere fun, etc. If you must give her something, get something inexpensive - dunno why people feel the need to buy expensive knowing they dished out enough money during christmas.
