Its odd because the only sport that i really enjoy watching is MMA. I would pay per view big tittle fights if I had to. The rest of the sports are boring to me. I would much rather play than watch football and basketball. I actually love to play the sports, but i hate watching millionaires play.
The only time i am half way interested is when i have money on the line, or some type of loyalty to that team (my alma mater) or something. Some women think that i am weird becuz im not obsessed with football like 95% of other guys. I could care less about your fantasy football. Gimme a good MMA fight any day. Any one else feel the same??

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

I absolutely feel the same. I am active, I love playing football, basketball, tennis, volleyball, ill play anything! But I am completely uninterested in watching the NFL or NBA, knowing every players statistics, knowing who's getting drafted or who won the super bowl in 1981, who cares!? I like watching MMA as well. Its usually pretty entertaining but I really don't keep up with it. If it is on I will definitely watch it though.

Yeah, and you get looked at like you are from a different galaxy if you don't know who is playing who on sunday. It's multiplied by 100 for me because I am a bartender. I had a group of women ask me what kind of man I was because I didn't know something about sports and because I didn't watch them. I said something along the lines of how I'd rather actively participate in sports than sit on a couch and watch someone else take part in them. But yeah, know exactly what you mean.

Can't say I mind too much or that it is a bad thing, I would rather not be part of the masses who if "their team" does not win then their whole rest of the week is ruined. I find that sort of dedication to something so unimportant laughable.

It's fun when the team you like is winning. I lived in Tampa when their NFL team finally became decent after 20 years of being horrible. That was fun. I was also watching every Cardinal's baseball game last season, even when they were what looked like hopelessly out of the playoffs. I grew up going to their games as a little kid, so it's impossible not to like the team. Watching their improbable playoff run was also a lot of fun, rally squirrel and all. The World Series last year was probably the best one ever played.

Otherwise, I agree sports are basically fairly boring. But that's why everyone watching is drunk.

Does anyone here feel like the UFC is starting to get boring?

Too many of the guys seem to play it safe and fight for points in the cage. Most of the fights are going to decisions like in boxing. The quality of the fights just doesn't seem to be as exciting as they were a few years ago. I really miss the old school PrideFC days. Those guys put on a fight.

I agree. Watching sports is the gayest thing to do. And everyone thinks they identify with this or that team, even though most of the players are drafted from some other city. We watch MMA because it is one of the only sports that we cant just go out and do with our friends. Its not like shooting hoops.

I use to watch UFC all the time, but now it just got boring. Don't really know why, but I still watch some of the pay-per-view fights.
