Whats up everyone, after reading through this site, the bible, wms, boP, book of Shuma Gora and basically everything that's here I still feel I don't put all those techniques into practice often enough.
So here is the deal: I think the Boot Camp is a really good way of really changing yourself into a more social person. I don't want to do it on my own because I feel it would be better if there would be someone constantly reminding me of going on^^
So let's do this together. I think this should be much more enjoyable. Here are the basic outlines:
The new week is going to start every Thursday night. So basically you have from friday morning to thursday evening. You can use your local time, it doesn't matter if we are some hours off.
Everyone who signs up has to go all the way through. Discipline! I know it's hard. To make sure that everyone is participating you have to write a summery every time a week ends, writing down your results, what you've gotten out of them, what you should try to do better and any insights you'd like to share with your fellow DJs.
Of course you can (and should) post any time you wish during the week to share experiences, ask questions and give advice.
We are going to start on the 22th of May. It's a long time till then you might say, but this is for two reasons:
First of all, I don't want anyone to read this and sign up right away. Really THINK about it. Make sure you have the time and the willpower to do this! Read the introduction of the original Bootcamp as we are going to use this. I want you to be 200% sure that you are really going to do this before your sign up.
The other reason is a more personal one as I am going to get my wisdom teeth removed the week before we start. So if I would start now I would have to take a week off when I am not going to be able to speak. And I don't want to do this.
I am inviting everyone to join who is going to pull all the way through and willing to participate by writing about his experiences. The BC is made for newbies, but you would make me a very happy Al Mohsetax if some more experienced DJs would join us to give advice along the road. See it as a chance to polish up your skills.
Last thing: If you thought about it and really want to join, please make a post stating this. Add a few information about yourself like how far you are on your road to becoming a DJ, why you are joining, what you are hoping to get out of this and why you are sure, that you're going to pull all the way through. This will be not just interesting for everyone but it also makes sure that you REALLY thought about it.
