Does this ever happen to you?

Ill try my best to explain this. This may sound pretty bad and self-centered, but do you ever have a conversation with people and you just dont give a f*ck what theyre saying? Say you meet someone you havent seen in a year or so, and your asking them a bunch of questions about their life. Than if you walked away, five minutes later you probably wouldnt remember a thing they said to you. I feel like ,while theyre talkiing, im just preparing what im going to say next, and not even listening to what theyre saying. Im thinking people usually catch on to this. If i was telling someone about my life, i would hope theyre listening and give a damn about what i say. Kind of a double standard i have. Maybe alot of people feel like this, and it comes down to the saying people only care about themselves. Can anyone relate?

yah read that crimson, i agree with most of it. This topic also reminds me of Fight Club, where tyler says people only listen to what he has to say, when hes at the meetings with people who are going to die. Usually people just wait for their turn to speak.

I work as a bank teller, so im constantly talking to people every minute a new person. It gets really tiring pretending to be nice to people, and asking how their days going.

i hate people who go into their fvcking day like they have a monopoly on problems...i just cut them off, say BRB and never come back. who do they think i am? dr. phil?
