Has anyone tried the ab wheel? Does it work?

I have started a routine to get firm abs (combined with 1.5 mile running before each session. at least two session everyday). I'm getting some results, but that's because I have been training long before and stopped at some point.

A friend just gave me this kind of ab wheel. I have tried it and, well, I couldn't do more than 5 stretches. And what's more is that I'm not sure that it is really working my abs (you know you kind of feel your abs with some exercises)

Can someone confirm?

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

Yes it does work my abs, and I've also felt it working my tri's, lats and pecs. It's challenging but I worked up to 5 sets of 15. Today I did 4x10 with 25 lbs on my back. Even though it's a good compound exercise, it still works my abs plenty. Watch and read some info here: http://www.rosstraining.com/articles/wheel.html

Careful, those things can do a number on your elbows, particularly your Ulnar nerve.

Better than situps and other crunch variations that do a number on your back/spine.
