Me and my buddy got into a debate over the gay marriage thing. Not whether they should have it or not. But this guy kept going on and on about the benefits of it. My stance was,that it really doesn't really matter. Unless I'm ignorant, what impact does this change have on the majority of Americans?

Does it create any jobs, take away any, generate revenue? This law only affects 1.8 percent directly. What impact does it have on anyone else? Seriously? Even the Christians.

My final statement on it: Marriage is outdated in today's society regardless of your sexual orientation.

For divorce lawyers, yes!

For lawyers, yes! Also there may be some for the party who makes less money and decides to be part of their adopted child's life.

Gay families who procreate pass down their defective genes to children, whom are likely to be gay as well and have no desire to procreate with the opposite sex. We are tainting the human gene pool with genes that guarantee our extinction. This affects everybody in future generations.

7 billion people on an overpopulated rock, and yet some people are going on about extinction? Gimme a break. With all the hunger and suffering in the world, never mind the actual extinction of wildlife caused by people, the Earth could use less humans on it.

That said, all scientific and sociological data indicate that the human population continues to grow, despite the unsubstantiated fear mongering of some people.

PS - Many of the arguments made against gay marriage today, were the same arguments made against interracial marriage in the past. My parents and grand parents lived through that bullsh!t and say its eerily similar. And eventually society will get to a place where all of this is an afterthought and not a big deal.

It serves to drive people apart and give them more reasons to fight each other. Its great for the current government, it gives them a scape goat. Nobody gives a sh1t about this. If they passed this law quietly, dudes could celebrate in their own homes and be done with it... the fact of that matter is that they want this to become a BIG, SOCIETAL, MANIPULATOR/DISRUPTOR.

Your right, by current estimates and with current technology, theres not going to be enough food, land or clean air to feed all those people? So use the brain we were built with to find a way... if we stop thinking that we can solve problems then 7 billion people becomes a problem. If we stop dreaming, creating and building then 14 billion is going to be an even bigger problem. Do you know why we are not on Mars yet? Because people have stopped dreaming, building and creating. They are getting dumber, more selfish and a lot more LAZY. You want people to respect you, yet you say stuff that is COUNTER PRODUCTIVE to civilization.

Letting two people who love each other, stay together. I have no problems with. Telling people to stop having children, stop trying to solve their problems and indulge in LAZY past times is what put our economy and our civilization where it is today. If you want to be part of a dying society, thats your business but I'm in the business of growing.
