I just think social media is worthless as a whole. All the gurus and trainers of today are telling people "You don't have to work anymore, that's for suckers, just get referrals!" So everybody is on those sites doing the same thing for the same reasons: their trainer said they can get a "stream of referrals" from those sites.

To elaborate, I think LinkedIn was useless for me as a fiduciary, because 90% of the people on there are realtors, insurance agents, and financial advisors. I could definitely see the value for entrepreneurs or anyone on the cutting edge of their micro-niche, it just didn't fit my profession.
